You know the drill
The UK's Summer 2015 sight reading tournament takes place at Summer London Anime & Gaming Con 2015 on Sunday 5th of July at 2PM.
Additionally, a beginner friendly casuals tournament will also take place on the saturday.
RULE: HAVE FUN
A sight read in DDR is essentially playing a song that you've never seen before.
In the context of a tournament however, this means that each round (and all associated gimmicks!) are created specifically for the purposes of the tournament.
It's an interesting even playing field, as none of the competitors will have seen any of the content.
So what we have is a fun dance game tournament that runs on an upgraded DDR machine, in which probably literally anything can happen. If you're good, or just fancy trying something really off the wall and different as far as dance game tournaments go, you should definitely give this a shot.
There is no charge for entry, but there is a £30 cash prize for winning, as well as a £5 prize for doing the best in a certain ~mystery event~ during the tournament, as per usual.
The casuals tournament also has no entry fee, with a prize of £30
Again, the machine is on free play before and after the tournament. It's pretty standard ITG and we have like 7000 songs now so if it exists, it's probably there.
Everyone invite your friends etc, let's aim for the highest attendance ever!

What is the difference between the main tournament and the casual tournament? I'm assuming no super-crazy mods, but anything else?

I'll definitely play it for fun but I'm not good enough to play in a tournament

The main tournament is RIDICULOUS mods, and the casual tournament is a standard ITG tournament that'll be played on a hand picked pack of 7s to 10s (from things like DDR officials, ITG officials, EuroCup tournament packs etc.) based on the average to lower bound of the entrants' skill level.

Unfortunately, suggesting songs makes me more likely to NOT use them,
because then the song choices aren't a surprise!
If I had started a Star Trail course, for example, and I wasn't too close to completing it, I'd scrap it if you were going to attend.
