Okay, so I'm making a first attempt at trying to make my own simfile on Stepmania but I'm having a couple problems.
I resized the ep cover to 256x256 and I don't know if it the right size for a jacket cover and even so, it doesn't show up in the Song Select screen. About the simfile itself, I wanna add a couple stops but don't know how. (i got the idea of slowdowns though) When I do finish the simfile, is there a thread where I can post said simfile or is there another option?

256X256 is fine. Really, any size is fine for a jacket as long as it's a 1:1 ratio, but 256X256 is usually the smallest size people use.
Not all themes use jackets. If you're using a theme that uses jackets and it's still not showing up on the Song Select screen, make sure the jacket is named something like "songname-jacket.png".

Stop length can be adjusted with F9 and F10. F10 increases the length of the stop, F9 shortens the length.

When the stop is really simple I find the time between two arrows, take that time divided by two and use that as the stop, then shift all of the timing/steps up a 4th/8th/whatever is necessary. If you want to upload your simfile, Aegis has a 49 & under category that you can PM him for access.

go to Stepmania's editor, select how long you want the stop to be with space bar, press enter, select convert beats to stop.
SM will automatically do it for you.
