So here's a story about me and what I started for fun 10 years ago:

Back in 2005 during my senior year of high school, I developed the DDR 5th Mix theme. (basically, it was continuing Tomokagun's work). Awesome interface, and everything. Then around 2009ish? I developed the DDR 4th Mix and 4th Mix Plus themes for Stepmania 3.9+ which included the banner wheel and everything. In 2013, I gave a stab at developing the 4th mix theme for Stepmania 5, in which at the time I went by the name PatrickIIDX. It was a fun great project to bring back the graphical interfaces my favorite 2 DDR mixes to the DDR/Stepmania community. Getting them to 100% was just too overwhelming and took too much time for me now that I have to balance life with everything...


(Just in case you guys are wondering, I don't have the 3.9 or 3.95 versions of the 5th or 4th mix themes anymore... I'm sorry.)

For those who want to continue this project, let me know so I can reupload these files.

It was a great experience working with the game/theme/community/etc. I hope the Stepmania/DDR/ITG community keeps the good old retro feel to remember how DDR for what it was. Thank you, and hoped you enjoyed.

For those who wish to work on it:

1. From the original post, you have my full permission, because I would rather have the completion of the DDR 4th Mix themes become a success. (I know I already stated it, but just incase there are some who don't understand)

2. For those who wish to help develop this theme. Would you like me to upload the theme at it's current state?

3. The only suggestion I can think of right now is now is to play both Arcade and Playstation versions as much as you need to (which I did for 5th mix during my high school years to try to get it as accurate to the arcade release as possible). Of course, that one day where the DDR 3rd to Extreme games will run on MAME or some other emulator that emulates Bemani System 573 Digital 100%, will make it obviously easier, but it depends on the community at this point.

We could create a git/bitbucket project and upload the theme, this give free hosting, and a colaborative tool to work the theme with others. I could do that if you share the source files of the theme.

So nice PatrickDDRX, thanks for sharing, I'll be looking the theme and make a github repository to continue working on it or if someone wants to add to the develop Big Grin.

Testing the theme looks good, do you like to maintain the 4:3 aspect? Or wanna try a 16:9 version? It would be nice Big Grin and some elements could be redone for best looking. Thanks for the rips too, I'll find the PSX iso to rip the sounds.

I've uploaded only the theme files to the github repository if someone like to help.
