So it's almost that time again! After a long wait, PROJEKT is coming to SM5 beta 4, and it's shinier than ever.
Theme releases on Pendual Day (9/17).

That's correct. I'm told it'll come out in about a week, which puts it before this theme's release. If it doesn't, it'll work on nightly builds until then.

woah this looks great nice way to step it up. i loved your older themes like the empress and dj troopers. so i'm really looking forward to this, any chance you're bringing the arcade's songlist into stepmania? i enjoyed some of the stuff ya did in the past.

It actually released on time, I didn't realize people were watching this thread and forgot about it.

Thank you for making an SM5 theme, k//eternal! It is my hope that this theme will be a boon for StepMania 5 in that it is, to quote a friend, "stable, pretty, and from a popular 3.9 themer."
While it doesn't really innovate or break any new ground, the theme is quite stable and almost entirely free of Lua/metrics errors, which is an accomplishment worth noting. Nicely done.
The only errors I saw occurred on ScreenEvaluationSummary, and they are easy to fix:
All in all, well done; I look forward to seeing more SM5 themes from you in the future.

Welcome aboard k//eternal! I totally get a kick out of theme names like FAKET or NAKET. Though to be honest I've never dl'ed any of his themes, but I just get a good laugh out of those names.

I like this theme and how it resembles the IIDX sources, but I have a problem with the passmark (which is like, the distinction this theme has over the other ones). When I set any passmark with bar life, it instantly slams me with a game over screen. I tried this with the nightly, so is it a beta 3 problem soon to be resolved with beta 4 or is it something else? Thanks.

When I set any passmark with bar life, it instantly slams me with a game over screen.
That's passmark doing exactly what it was designed for.Passmark means "if your life bar is below this point, you are failing the song". The life bar starts at 0.5 by default, and the lowest passmark setting in Laconia is 0.7.
So the song begins, the life bar fills to 0.5, and then the game checks to see whether you're at or below the passmark. 0.5 <= 0.7, so you're failing. That "<=" bit means that 1.0 passmark (labeled "100%") is impossible to pass.
The solution is to set your fail type to End of Song, so it doesn't check until the end of the song. Or set the Bar Drain to No Recover (labeled "Pressure" in Laconia), which would make it start out full.
It's also possible for the the themer to set what the life bar fills to with the InitialValue metric. A particularly clever themer could make the life bar start above the passmark threshold for that player, and avoid the fail problem that way. (possibly, there's not a direct way to tell which player it's being loaded for, but player 1's loads before player 2's, and if only one player is enabled, there's not a problem)
You really should package this properly, with a folder inside the zip, so people don't have to protect against having files spray everywhere when extracting it.
I noticed a couple flaws, such as apparently this theme was never checked in 16:10 aspect ratio, so some elements end up hanging off the edge of the screen or in the wrong place.
Note "usic Select", "Difficulty" going behind the difficulties, the time and bpm being left of where they belong, the banner sticking out of the frame, and the grades on the music wheel being cut off.
Note the life bar graph sticking out of its frame.
It also seemed strange that the toasty thing stayed until the end of the song, instead of disappearing after a few seconds the way toasties normally do.
The summary metrics that dbk2 mentioned don't matter, Midiman decided to stick default (invisible) values for those in _fallback.
The art looks impressive, but I'd kinda like to have more than 7 items visible on the music wheel. It's kind of a problem on some of the service options screens too, particularly Config Key/Joy Mappings.

It's not made for 16:10, but it's worth adding to the readme.
That aside, thanks all for bug reports and just for checking the theme out! I think getting this thing running on SM5 has been the first massive step, and now I'm free to focus on details, fixes, and new features.

Okay this is amazing. In fact, your theme is the reason why I downloaded SM5 (which I should change versions anyway since my creations are glitching up and had to re-do by scratch) just for it! Running in a crabby 1024x768 monitor, I manage to somehow squeeze it to fit my desktop! So... Looking good so far!
Anyway, totally unrelated tot he theme, but to those who had experience with random bugs from other file imports, I wanted to play my Step'n Music characters (pretty much my cheerleaders onto the empty black sides of the interface (I refuse to stretch or zoom in the simfile BGs)) but so far I am getting this error. I try to find the little code on my SnM but well.. No luck and I'm no coder, so yea.
It's no biggie if no one can help me or interest in doing so. Better get used to playing on a simulation that is not Pop'n DDR.

Wow! This theme is looks good. It clones a beatmania series called SPADA. But, when I start the game at select style, it crashes.

I really hope you realize that it's just a bit late to find bugs. Just a bit late. It's not like this theme was made for a beta version of SM5 and we are already discussing the release of SM 5.1.
Good on ya mate. Let's give him a hand folks.
