Nope, this is official post from developer (me). That was probably just one of fans.
Feel free to ask any questions about the game

No worries, he is legitimate.
Judging from the screenshots, this looks pretty good! Too bad there is no iOS port of it. :c

Thx.
iOS port can be done using the existing framework, it's just not worth the initial investments (i would need a mac and iphone+ipad=$$)
maybe if the game takes off

By the way, are you planning to include additional input type so that it will have 2 sets of input buttons side by side (something like most popular game console emulators do e.g. PSX, Gameboy, etc. for Android)? Of course, this type will be played exclusively during landscape mode. I feel more comfortable to play with this type.

you mean like two cross controllers on each side? Hm.. nice idea.
Now i'm working on a mode where the buttons are spread but the receivers stick together.
And i also wanted to do rolls where you hold the buttons and shake the phone

This looks pretty cool. I personally play Beats instead, but I like the way this game is going. Nice work.

Got my Ouya arriving on wednesday and was sad that I was going to have to keep the pc around to play stepmania (I mean the pc connected to my living room tv amd acting as a media center / stepmania machine) but you might just have solved that problem. Is there a way to change the default simfiles folder to point to a usb drive? And have you tried it on the Ouya? (If not, I'll be more than happy to provide feedback as it comes)
Thanks for your hard work as a dev and I really hope it goes well!

Hello,
I would gladly help you run the game on OUYA (game already runs on nVidia Shield).
Mostly it should work out of the box..
Try to browse to parent folder until you find a folder where extSDCard or sdCard folder is pressent (mostly named /storage/)
There should also be your USB Drive folder (i assume that you can see your USB drive in other apps)
On my Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini there is a folder /Storage/ with following sub-folders:
sdcard0 - Phone build in 8GB memmory
extSdCard - The phone microSD card (32GB's)
i have all my library on the extSdCard - the only downside is that the game unpacks the smzips to the default game folder (in my case /storage/sdcard0/BeatMania/Songs and not to my preffered folder /storage/extSdCard/BeatMania/Songs)
But that is not a big issue because after the smzip is unpacked you can simply copy the files via Total commander
Also - if you don't want to see all your music from your stepfile library in Media Players - copy file ".nomedia" from the original "BeatMania" folder to your stepfile library folder.
I also run/optimized the game on my brothers Rikomagic MKIII - one of the Android HDMI sticks.
Was kinda nice to play without all the PC stuff laying around

Great! I'll try it tomorrow night as soon as it comes in and let you know how it went! Plus I've just been asked to make a new metal pad for a friend, so I'll probably use it as a test platform for the new pad too once I've confirmed a regular pad works fine.
Because quite frankly, If that works, it means unplugging the HTPC at the same time than the NES - SNES - N64 & PS1 from the living room tv and replacing them all by one cute little box. Now that would mean quite a lot of extra space and a happy GF that's currently confused by all these inputs on the tv. ;)
