With all the talk of Doubles in SN2 thread I had to play.
Doubles are Fun, you get to move a lot on the pad. Also is less monotonous than Single.
Also Manage to Get a B on R3(Standard).

They're called doubles because they're twice the fun as singles =p
Love Shine Standard is the hopscotch song; I think So Deep was a good one too.
Ordinary World/So Deep Heavy have lots of fun stream, and Freckles is a lot more draining with some triple 16ths and gallops thrown in.

freckles doubles is amazing
also, TC, doing R3 standard doubles is like doing R3 heavy singles. in club version double only went to another(trick, standard, etc. same thing), and the another doubles steps were like the maniac singles steps. feel proud of doing that, as it could pass for a heavy chart.
if youre at the skill level, V heavy is also quite fun. thats a pretty solid chart with a bit of everything.
if you have access to ITG2, then (insert any song) on hard doubles is fucking awesome.

Doubles is da shiz. I can do most 9's on DDR, yet I really enjoy JaneJana and Telephone Operator, lol. But I don't really like most of ITG's expert-doubles charts except for like...Bend Your Mind and Dance While the Rekkid Spinz.

I've had about 10-20 goes on doubles and can do at maximum only 8s.
I don't play doubles that often as it costs me £2 (~$4) to do so!

I'm working through the 9s at the moment. Well, some of the easier ones anyway, like Exotic Ethnic. I've seen the Doubles Challenge chart for Butterfly (Upswing Mix). It's very un-normal...

i ripped my pants on the last set of hands of BYM expert doubles before the freeze run once :p sucked too, i liked those pants AND had it FCed to that point.
also £2 is more like $4.50. when i was there i put a £1 coin on the machine to mark my spot and some douche bag took it and left his 10 pence piece up there. it may not have been much to him, but that was $2.20 for me, i was pissed. no one owned up to it either.

I started playing doubles a while back (a few months ago). It's definitely more fun than singles. Now whenever I play singles, it feels like I'm running in place, lol.

Ever since I started coding doubles charts, I have grown to understand them and I want to play them more. I think I might start writing doubles charts for my sims too. :o

I feel like a noob when it comes to Doubles.. XP (I tried it on a 5th Mix machine... Only 50 cents for Singles... Or even double! Seriously.)

Ohh, 5th mix has some good ones too. Once you get the hang of the crossovers (and reading low BPMs), try Make Your Move. It's the easiest 9 ever, pretty much one long stream at 120 bpm. My Summer Love is pretty fun on Sudden (LURLUR). For the step mods I suggest hitting Green first on the right side, because on my machine the left side's shown mods (on the song select screen) got cut off the left side of the screen.
But yeah, while getting used to the movements I'd suggest playing on Basic/Trick at first. Young Forever Trick's a pretty easy one for practicing crossing over the center.
Here, this is the guide I used getting into doubles.

5th mix double charts are EWW.
it has some good songs like BB$kog, make your move, MSL, and what not, but none of those are 5th mix songs. if its new to 5th mix i recommend not playing it ever.

The only double charts I ever play are the ones on Pump, since I'm never in the mood to spend £2 for double.

Sorry for bumping and old thread.
But I was following suggestions and played Love Love Shine(bar) in Heavy almost beat it, those are some hard steps.
Also I failed My Only Shining Stars(No Bar) Heavy. I was like, well is easy enough in Singles and then at final stream of doubles >_<.

Ahaha yeah the stream part near the end almost kill me every time.
I try to play without the bar on double, and i can't pass above 7 feet. (and some 7 feet are horible for me)
I don't know how to be good, it's like a other game. All that news crossover and moves...

Oh if you need jumps practice, try Brilliant 2U on Standard Doubles. You'll understand when you see the Radar - it's funny.
And n00b, since I missed your post back then, most of the songs I enjoy on 5th mix are from 4th mix =P

Heh, I use Cartoon Heroes Standard Doubles for jump practice. Walks you across both mats with the jumps. Any good ones for learning streams?
