Hey guys, CREv. here with an announcement about a simfile pack I'm putting together, celebrating the music from the Pump It Up Franchise. This pack will be for four-panel play, and not the traditional five-panel for Pump.

Basically, I'm looking for 50+ simfiles to put in the pack from simfile authors anywhere on the Internet who enjoy playing and stepping songs from Pump It Up. This includes ANY Pump game, including Pump PRO and the newly released NX 2. So if you must step Energizer, Chopstix, or Hasse Mich, by all means go ahead.

REQUIREMENTS:

All submitted simfiles must be complete with steps from Light to Heavy with Beginner, Challenge, and Edit difficulties optional. Double steps are also optional, but if made, they too must be complete with Light to Heavy step charts. All submitted simfiles must be paddable, so please do not submit step charts specifically made for keyboard play. Keyboard steps may be submitted, but they must be submitted on the Edit difficulty only! Rolls, hands, and mines may be used, but please use them wisely and don't pull an Esperanza!

All submitted simfiles must have a banner (256x80 or 512x160 : gif, png, jpg), background (320x240 or 640x480 : gif, png, jpg), mp3 or ogg file, SM and or DWI file, and a Read Me file with contact information and details about the simfile. CD Titles are recommended, but are not required. If an entrant cannot produce a banner/background, please use the song's original banner/background. If you need the song's original background, you can visit Pump Haven's titlecard server. Background videos may be used if desired. Please make sure to include what Pump game the song originally made its debut if possible. Also, please delete any unnecessary files such as old SM and DWI files.

If any of the requirements above are omitted, the submitted simfile will be disqualified for judging. If an entrant's file has been disqualified, it may be resubmitted only if all the requirements are intact.

SUBMISSION:

All simfiles must be submitted in one of the following formats: zip, rar, or smzip. All entrant's must send their simfile(s) by e-mail to Crevolous@aim.com along with their name (Internet name is fine), file, and a description of their simfile.

EDIT: All simfiles for the pack are due January 31st, 2008 please. Judging will take place soon after that and the winners will be announced two weeks following.

JUDGING:

All files will be judged by myself and fellow friend Zima. We will be judging each file based on creativeness and quality. We will be looking for the top three to five files that are based on their Pump cousins, but still have originality and top notch quality that make them perfect for four-panel play. If anyone else is interested in being a judge for this competition, please contact me by e-mail or send me a PM.

PRIZES:

The top prize will be $75 cash, with second being $50, and third $25. These amounts are final.

OTHER:

If you have any questions, complaints, or concerns, please reply to this post, send me an e-mail, or simply PM me. I will check this post at least once a day to answer any of your questions.

Simfiles may also be submitted by the judges, but they will not be eligible to win prizes.

UPDATE:

I just wanted to add that I will accept full versions of songs from Pump. I believe the addition of long songs will make the pack a little more interesting and give simfile authors the chance to be a little more creative. This will also make it easier for those who were planning on cutting a song, but please do remember that the song MUST be from a Pump game. If you do want to submit a simfile celebrating a BanYa that was never in a Pump game, that is fine as well.

The same requirements for cut songs apply for simfiles with long songs. Please view the requirements by clicking here.
Also, I will accept challenge only stepcharts, but I'm thinking I may judge these charts differently from the completed simfiles I receive.

SONGLIST:

Here is a small list of songs that will be in the pack.

Canon-D - BanYa - CREv./Zima
Dance With Me - BanYa - CREv.
Don't Bother Me - Tashannie - CREv.
Greenhorn - Lexy - Timer Rabbit
Handsome Character that Pass - May - Timer Rabbit

I'll Give You All My Love - Wax - CREv.
Love is a Danger Zone 2 - BanYa - WaltCip
Monkey Fingers - BanYa - CREv.

Thank You.

- Crevolous.

I hope you have tried my Greenhorn + Hansome Character that Pass simfiles of mine.

Yes. It's the same "Timer" from BemaniStyle. Just a 3rd mirror for my simfiles. (the 2nd is at FFR.)

Also, if you want Foxy Lady, I can try to re-step my crappy file again. ^^; (Since I like the song + story and character.)

Currently retired, unless I find a spark to return making files.
