I just downloaded an ISO of DDR for PC. However, it doesn't seem to work on Windows 7.
I'm referring to this one.
Which operating system does this work on?
And I don't want to hear that I'm better off with Stepmania. If you're one heck of a DDR fan, you know what I mean.

I doubt it'll work with 8 or Vista, probably XP.

Is there a way to make it work in 7 or Vista?

I have a Windows XP computer set right next to my Windows 7 computer for this sort of thing.

it does work on XP. It might work on 7. I know that you need the alcohol 120 or 52 program. If it doesn't work you're better off with Konamix as DDR PC is nothing more than a PC version of Konamix.

Did you try my suggestion of using Alcohol 120 or 52? Cause if you don't have either then it will not work.

I decided to screw it after realizing that it goes off-sync. Where's the fun in that? Heck, even DDR games in ePSXe and PCSX2 go off-sync even if I tamper with the timing options. Stepmania's always in sync.
I'm not saying Stepmania is bad. It's just more fun to play with a legit DDR game.

Mess with the Latency options in Audio on the emulator settings. you can put it on sync.

Ah this sure does bring back memories. There was two notable things that made this game stand out from the rest
1. It was the only US game that you could play the original version of "Let the beat hit em!" (Konamix had the R&B mix while DDRMAX had R&B mix and the BMIIDX mix)
2. When the website for this game existed, they allowed people to download a crapload of additional characters free of charge
Also the only legitimate way to play STILL IN MY HEART in the old (pre-5th, 30 FPS) engine in the USA.1. It was the only US game that you could play the original version of "Let the beat hit em!" (Konamix had the R&B mix while DDRMAX had R&B mix and the BMIIDX mix)

Which emulator are you referring to? If you have the time, try putting in more detail on how to deal with the Latency.
Although I was able to get it a few times, the next time I play it, it's back to going off-sync. Kinda frustrating but meh...c'est la vie.
P.S. DDR Extreme 2 and DDR X doesn't work in my PCSX2. It crashes at the menu.
