Well there's only the Takuya20 and the dieKatze88 themes, but those are the Japanese Arcade/Console theme. I dunno if any one could rip the graphics, but why would you want such an ugly theme anyway? The Japanese Arcade/Console theme is 10x better than the US Console/DDR Festival theme.

A theme based on Extreme US has never been made. I'm sure it's possible to rip graphics from the game, but I don't know how. Not sure if anybody has done that (besides simfile graphics and stuff).

That's one hot onion. As for OP's question: no, there hasn't been a SM theme (assuming that you're talking about SM5... or SM in general, as you never actually made clear what you were after) made out of EXTREME's design, and the task is much more difficult to accomplish than by just ripping the graphics from the disk.

The most I can recall there being is an Extreme 2 US theme, but that was a long time ago and has since been lost. Ripping the graphics is totally possible, but it mostly comes down to whether someone is willing to take on the task of creating the theme.

I found a video about DDR EXTREME USA gameplay, you can extract some graphics there.
Post #12 · Posted at 2014-05-12 03:31:16pm 10.4 years ago
Nice try, but you'll really need an ISO rip of DDR EXTREME US or DDR FESTIVAL in order to get the graphics. Ripping them from a youtube video would be inefficient and really lazy.
If you have a copy of either DDR EXTREME or DDR FESTIVAL, use DVD Decrypter to extract the ISO. Then, you would have to use WinRAR, 7Zip, or any other file program to locate the files necessary.
I have a copy of DVD Decrypter if you need it.

Considering how simplistic the graphics are in the game, re-making them would probably be easier. It would also allow you to make them more suitable for higher, possibly widescreen, resolutions

extracting the files inside the ISO is so easy, the problem is how to extract the files inside the BIN files... There should be a program for that...

ugh, guys. There's actually no "easy" way to rip the graphics straight from the disc/ISO.
The most efficient way is to use:
- a version of Cheat Engine that has the "Direct X-Mess" feature (5.6 or lower) and ...
- an old version of the PCSX2 emulator (0.9.1). I haven't had success with latest versions.
The trick is to dump the textures loaded in memory (i.e. in each screen of the game), so ripping the images IS a tough/lenghty task.

It's a very crashy method. That's precisely why I said it's a tough/lenghty task
