I don't know if y'all heard about this, but Harmonix started a Kickstarter campaign today for a remake of their hit rhythm game Amplitude!
They're trying to get $775,000 for the project, and they're already at $108,446 as of the time this post was typed!

Imho they want too much. Aplitude wasn't that great of a game and it doesn't look really hard to remake. They have the engine (Rock Band Blitz anyone?) so they pretty much need to remake the graphics (no need concepts needed) and re-license tracks or get new ones (from... Rock Band library probably).
Kickstarter is pretty much only advertising the product - not getting the money for it.
