Not really, in 2010 all the Baltic countries were wiped out as well. Also happened in 2004, when the semi-final system was introduced.

Not gonna lie this has been one crazy Eurovision this year, with San Marino making it in for the first time, Poland back in the final since 2008, Israel (a huge fan favorite/bookie favorite) out, etc

Also there's a rumor saying Belarus didn't broadcast Austria's performance if this is true they can get in tons of trouble

You know what's crazy? Austria, Montenegro, Poland, The Netherlands, San Marino, Slovenia and Switzerland in the final... at the same time!! Maybe the fact we have less countries helped (and typical qualifiers like Serbia, B&H and Turkey aren't participating), but... man, what are the chances?

This could just become better if we didn't have Russia and Azerbaijan in the final, but... yeah... I believe it would be asking too much.


Just like Ireland last year, right?

Tonight on BBC One, it's time for another thrilling edition of "Will The United Kingdom Not Finish Last?"

But yeah, it seems like Austria is the favourite to win here; also Tumblr says don't call Conchita a drag queen because it's apparently offensive. Has to be "transwoman".

I think the winner tonight might be either Austria, Sweden, Hungary, UK or Netherlands and maaayybe Armenia (Not gonna lie, Armenia did kinda bad first semi final :x) Dark horse winners might be Spain or Greece

I do kinda wish to see Austria win just to see Russia freak out about it

I just don't want Azerbaijan taking it. Or Russia. And I'd rather Sweden didn't because, y'know, you guys won it in 2012, give it a rest, love.

I actually agree that I hope Sweden won't win. Nordic dominance might lead in more countries withdrawing... Austria or Hungary, I'd prefer.

On a side note: Interesting that the audience wasn't jeering when Russia's song came up, like they did when they advanced to the finals. (If you remember Lithuania 2006 (We are the winners), they got booed at all the whole time)

In all honesty I want us to win. Not because of the best song, not because of the 2015 contest, but because FINALLY it would shut up this country's 'OHH WE NEVER WIN IT, BLOC VOTING RAHRAH' mentality.
