well damn that sucks. Haven't played Shenmue but heard that its a damn good game.

Umm, not really even when it came out. It's a unique game, never anything has come before it. The most expensive game ever produced yet the gameplay was remarkably bland. My favorite part about the game was just looking around at the environments observing the NPCs (which have routine of their own) and going to the Tomato Convenience Store. It's a game for the history books but not because of its gameplay. It brought in QTEs which many including me, hate.

In today's standards, the game has aged poorly. Back in it's day it was a pretty groundbreaking game as far as graphics and how it played went. It might be a game you had to play when it came out to really enjoy it. If you can find it for $20-$30 bucks (depending on your budget) get it.
