My problem has to do with my pad and stepmania.
I just got my ADAPTER for ps2 to usb converter because i wanted to play using my pad. I'm really FRUSTRATED because i cannot play. When i connected my pad i configured to stepmania and all the arrows work perfectly but i cannot play because if im stepping on one arrow the other one doesn't work. Like if im stepping on the right arrow and i try to step on the left one it doesn't detect it only if i lift my foot from the right one. I don;t one what else to do or how to configure it. I have the redoctane soft pad and i have stepmania 3.6 i think that' it.
CAN ANYONE HELP!?!?!?!?

Weird. That’s a lot like the one I have.
Here’s my answers.
1.Go to your options and check Config key/Joy Mappings to see if everything is set up right
2.hooked up the pad BEFORE you start Stepmania
3.Restart your computer.

its because of your adapter. it doesnt allow you to press left and right at the same time because on a ps2 d-pad you CANT press left and right at the same time. you need a USB pad that recognizes your pad as buttons and not directions to let you do that. something like an ignition or (insert metal pad with a control box here).
