I bought a DDR Extreme Arcade Machine late last year and I've been fixing it up, it works pretty well but one thing that bugs me is there is a feedback buzz or hum in the marquee speakers. When the game boots you can even hear the noise from the CD drive amplified through the speakers when the disc spins up and down...
What I've done so far:
1. I went through the whole cabinet and fixed a bunch of grounds that weren't hooked up right, every piece of metal inside the cabinet is properly grounded, this helped a little
2. I've swapped out the original Namco hardware with a PC running StepMania, thiss helped a little
3. I've bought a ground loop isolator (this one: http://www.amazon.com/Stinger-SGN20-Ground-Loop-Isolator/dp/B002ZRQ3PW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1391026564&sr=8-2&keywords=ground+loop+isolator) and installed it between the PC and the amp box, this helped a little but it seems like it's trimming out some of the bass :-/
Everything I've done has made the noise more quite, it's not really noticeable when playing but but it's still there and annoys me and I'm a bastard when it comes to things being perfect.
Does anyone have any other recommendations?
Has anyone had and solved a similar issue? If so what did you do?
