Hey all, I don't know if this is the correct place to start this thread, but I have a quick question.

I went to the simfile category for DDR X AC (JP) and I noticed all of the dedicated BG videos for some songs (ZERO, On the Bounce, etc.) are missing. I downloaded the whole pack too and I noticed they are missing from that as well. Where did they go? Is there any way I can get them from someone on the site or are the videos stashed somewhere on a download section?

Thanks to anyone who can help! Happy

I have them, but I can't upload anything .... *Aliens Meme* : Points ... Sad
Have you tried searching song by song ?

Edit :

Wow ... You're right ... They aren't in the pack ...

Recently, the simfiles for all categories from X2 to SuperNOVA were upgraded with arcade-accurate audio and updated steps. Now, the videos that used to be there were also trimmed from their originators due to the old audio's start point, because StepMania gets funky when the video starts too far ahead of the audio. The exception were the X3 videos (already done correctly with everything when launched) and the X2 videos (for which the audio of the songs containing them were updated as well with the video pack). razorblade, the person responsible for all this, removed the videos since he had template scripts that would work with the new, unaltered videos. However, time demands made him focus on updating the other categories' songs instead, and there was already a bit of backlash now that the X videos were missing, which is why the SuperNOVA 2 videos remain. (SuperNOVA 1 only had 2 unique videos, so the unaltered versions of those were added).

Unfortunately, no individual downloads of those X videos are available. However, there is a silver lining (and forgive me if this seems like a self-plug...) I went the extra mile and got my hands on the source videos and converted them to XVID AVIs in the same manner as razorblade. The videos are available for download in the Ultra Release package for TrotMania Chrystalize. These are naturally large files (around 2 Gigabytes for both parts), but for your convenience, I can tell you that DanceDanceRevolution X, in its complete tracklist as of X3 (with the exception of a few tracks that don't matter in your case since they didn't have videos), is in Part 2, which you can download now through 4shared. Plus you get all the videos (including the CS songs) from SuperNOVA and SuperNOVA2 (in the actual unaltered form), so that's pretty cool, right?

I hope that helps, and if you seek the removed licenses' videos as well, please send me a PM! Wink
