Question:
The S-
and D-
charts for Dance Dance Revolution are made up of parts of stepcharts of other songs, right? I recognize Afronova
and Dynamite Rave
, but haven't played that many older songs to be able to figure out the rest.
Is there a formal list out there of the stepchart pieces used in both S-
and D-
? I haven't been able to find anything sufficiently comprehensive.
(Side note: Does it only apply to the original
charts, or do other difficulties have it as well? What about the two X-Special charts?)
Thanks in advance.

Not in a specific order, but i remember S-
has steps from:
Dead End
AM-3P
End of the Century
Dynamite Rave
Afronova
Celebrate Nite
B4U
And the end reminds me of Hyper Eurobeat (at least in the rhythm of the steps)

Doesn't apply to the other non-
charts or the X-Special charts, if I recall correctly.

Well judging from this link, I can deduce that portions of BRILLIANT 2U(ORCHESTRA GROOVE), DEAD END, DYNAMITE RAVE, AFRONOVA, END OF THE CENTURY, AM-3P, CELEBRATE NITE, B4U, and (if you wanna get technical) Dance Dance Revolution (all from their respective
charts) appear in the
chart, in that order, for both Singles and Doubles. Other difficulties for the song have their own unique stepcharts.
And yes; I'm using "deduce" sarcastically.
No idea on the X-Special, though; it's more than likely its own chart.
