Should I send this edit I made for "Mugen" to Konami's stepchart team?

Hi, guys. So, about 4 or 5 days ago, I made this edit stepchart for "Mugen" from DDR Supernova. However, I wasn't able to convert it from paper (That's how I transcribe my rough drafts.) into Stepmania until about an hour before this was posted. I just recorded the stepchart & uploaded it to YouTube. But, I'm so proud of how the chart turned out that I'm considering sending the YouTube video to the Konami stepchart team so that it can get added as a Challenge chart for the song in a potential update for DDR 2013. (That was an awfully long run-on...)

The chart is an old scale 9 & a new scale 13. Be prepared, as it is filled with jumps, jackhammers, & freezes.

However, if I actually do send it to the stepchart team, how do I contact them?

I'm not really sure what gave you the idea that Konami would ever accept stepcharts from people who aren't in charge of making the charts for DDR over there.

I don't think all of those jumps and jacks would be fun to play. Honestly it looks more like a keyboard chart than a pad chart.
I would love to send some of my challenge edits to Konami as well, but it's probably not possible.

Let me just say this:

If it was that easy for any stepchart artist to have the ability to contact the DDR stepchart artists so that they could include their own edits of the song to be put into the official charting, most people in this forum would have had a job by now.

EDIT: and DDR II would not have shit charts, as well as DDR 2010/PS3 but there is just no waaaaay.

... Yeah, that chart doesn't look that fun at all to me. Also, why would Konami accept any outside submissions for stepcharts? If you really want people to play your stepchart, just let people download it on this site.

That chart is... not good. As somebody said earlier, it looks like a keyboard chart.

Obvious joke considering the chart i just saw.
But to be honest mugen isn't the easiest kind of song to put arrows on.

About the chart, too much weird/unfun paterns (yes those jackhammer/stepguns... holy hell wtf). And what's up with all those jumps ? xD

Also like some said, if we could send our charts to konami a bunch of people would do it.
I wish konami would do some kind of contest, like "Hey we are konami, see this 10 new songs ? They'll be in the next ddr. You can send us up to 10 differents charts from S- to S- and D- to D-. The best charts will go in the game". But i think it would be too much work for them. Well if even we could had some charts on some old songs that deversed it, that would be awesome.

I didn't expect that much of a negative reaction to my chart.

I actually put those jumps & jacks in because I thought it would go well with the song. It follows jun's singing & the backing track at the same time.

At least there's a silver lining to all of this: the video itself has over 100 views, which is a lot for me.

There are literally so many things that people, I imagine, would consider wanting more than a new challenge chart for an old song. New songs.

I think the best bet to get it on the game to play is by converting it into that .dat file format from konami's step editor and then hope people would stumble into your edit on the X2 cab. You may share the .dat file as well. Only problem with this is that they killed the page in order for all of this to work so you can only hope they are doing a looooooong nice fix to get it working again.

Or even easier...share your edit and let people play it on stepmania. (And if you are lucky, someone might get a flashdrive and play it on r21)

This chart is pretty bad and I feel like a lot of the jacks and jumps are just totally random. Of course I could still play it, but I would never want to play it. Anyways, I don't think Konami would do anything with a step chart that you made if you send it in or else millions of people would be doing the same (I'm being honest, I'm not trying to be mean). Especially if you sent it in an SM file, then there would be some bitter stuff going around.

Anyways I can tell that you did try your hardest on this step chart and you're pretty proud of it. Don't let a few negative people like me stop you. If you enjoy doing it, then keep doing it and eventually maybe people will start to warm up to them.
