Is there a guide to getting frames?
Also the grading is really strict, something that would be a AA on other themes is a B here...

This is an old thread, but I have "something somewhat useful to add to the discussion."
The CyberiaStyle authors relaxed the grading standards in Version 8.2, released last month. Here's a table illustrating the changes.
Version 8.2 has a few other grading changes as well, according to the New Features page.

This made my Stepmania completely inoperational... Does anyone know how to fix this? It crashes immediately after I open the game.

I think it's in Stepmania.ini where you can change your theme. Just open it in notepad and change it back to the default and you should be fine.

post a crashlog
I'll take a guess in saying you're using the theme with an incompatable version.

Hey guys have any of you experienced not getting the full combo splash even if you did get one? If you have, do you know how to fix it? Because that's the only gripe I have with this theme. I'm using version 8.4 on StepMania 5.0.6.

Version 8.5 was released. It might fix that bug, try it first.

Yay, buggy StepMania themes. I'll look at the full combo splash code once it's downloaded.
Out of curiosity, did you have Good Combo (or whatever) enabled?

Yup, I had good full combo on.

If you drop a hold, even if you don't break combo, you won't get a full combo. 1 Point holds, although the default, are actually really buggy and should not be used, because they can cause holds that don't exist to drop and give you NGs that didn't happen.
Actually, could you link the file you're playing? It might be a bug related to that.

Some song that you're having this problem on, it doesn't matter which one.

Actually, I'm having this problem on ALL my songs. Yeah, it's that bad.

The only other thing I can see in the code is that using any assist mods whatsoever prevents the full combo splash from displaying.

Now that you mention it, I just remembered I turned on "No Hands" in the options menu. I'll see if turning it off will bring it back.
UPDATE:Turned it off and got it back! Thank you so much for the help. Now the only thing left to do is to edit the code. (I plan to use this theme for dance mats if I can get my hands on one.)

It will. The code explicitly checks if you have No Hands (among other things, like No Mines and No Fakes, etc.) on and prevents the combo splash from displaying if that is the case. You could edit it if you'd like.
EDIT: The annoying thing, at least for me, is that it doesn't bother to check if having No Hands on would actually do anything. So even if you play a song that doesn't have any hands in it to begin with, it still won't show the combo splash if you have No Hands on.
