X, because it's more precise.

DDR X Scale is pretty accurate. I prefer it but since almost all simfiles use Classic ratings. I'm actually using ITG scale and just converting to that rate 10 footer songs. (I'm actually too lazy to convert old DDR simfiles to X rating)
Hard 14/15 = 10
16= 11
17= 12
... and that way

I only use old scale because 3.9 only goes up to 15.
Once I switch to SM5 I'll gladly switch over.

I use X-scale since I think it's a good thing. Sometimes there are inconsistencies though, my fault.
Though I use old scale when necessary. (i.e. contests)

I personally prefer adapting to the X-scale for precision, though I have wound up mixing it up a bit and rated things according to one scale than the other sometimes. Like any challenge charts I make for DDR X - X3 files, yeah I'll be using X-scale. But for older songs, not sure if I should go ahead and fix the ratings to be all X-style or old-school.

Well, I was curious cause I was gonna re-release both Black and Black 2 with full courses and a final release set so I converted everything to X scaling, but I wasn't sure which people prefered. (I got bashed for making a thirteen which someone said as only a seven due to old-scale/x-scale confusion. Adding labels doesn't help apparently.)
I'll just go for the full X-scale release because it is more precise.

I prefer out off 10 just cause that was what I used to using back when SM5 didn't exist.
Once I get back into the swing of things, I'll probably go up to 13 on the scale cause I'm not one of those people that does songs with button mashing like crazy xp
