This is pretty much the toughest question in the world. We talking DDR or ITG? Official charts or customs? I'll give you a list, just tell me how to slice it.

1. I started playing doubles on DDR in late '09 = roughly three years now. I'd been playing singles for about a year at that point; I had passed an assortment of catas but I was having a lot of trouble breaking the tens wall properly (MAX 300, sure, whatever). So I decided to take a different approach, and realized quickly that I liked two pads better! I didn't break into ITG until 2010, so by the time I had regular access to a machine I was passing double 8s and low 9s. The rest lives on in infamy, I guess

3. It has moments of both. A solid Zayford rating, I think.
4. Wow, don't hold back on the curveballs, jeez :B This one's a tough question to answer. I met a lot of the r21freak members by going to tournaments and stuff, rather than joining the forums and interacting exclusively there. AIJ, same. Zenius, I really got to know everybody via the simfile tournaments and chat feature (I became active back in the day when we hardly even had a chat, lol), and I've met far fewer of the regulars here IRL. If I were to go by personal closeness, I'd ultimately go with r21freak, I think. I do want you guys to know that I love you in the most platonic, bromosexual way, and I'm not planning any inward grooving treasonous activites anytime soon ;)
5. I'm a bit over 6'2" (about 190cm in ye olde metric). Apparently I don't sound very tall though? People who meet me through friends are always saying "I imagined that you'd be shorter". I apologize~

I enjoyed meeting you! I'm just sad that we didn't have more time to hang out, since I arrived the same day you guys left. Plus it seemed like you were getting along fine with Anson and a couple other guys, and I hate barging into conversations without being invited haha

1. Right after Doubles Comp I? I should refuse to answer this on the grounds that it may incriminate me. There's a lot of really bad charts out there, but one that immediately comes to mind is Hip Hop Jam DX.
2. Probably either Bringin' it Back DX or Zetorux's Monkey Fingers DX. Gonna change this soon hopefully though~
3. Absolutely - now that I have a bit more time on my hands I'm considering joining the dark side of stepmans, and I love pretty much everything that's been done with Lua so far.

1. "Telperion" comes from the Lord of the Rings mythology detailed in The Silmarillion. Used to be - still am - a LOTR buff. It's actually the name of a tree...but whatever, I liked the look of it and started using it as my alias.
2. Hardest doable chart? Almost certainly Vacuum Cleaner DX, according to reports from the front lines. I have some other experiments that I've buried very deeply in the arctic circle (Lighter than Air DX...ugh) but we don't talk about those anymore.

1. I would like to ask that same question! I honestly don't think I'm that great at making simfiles, but I step what I like how I like. And apparently I have good, or at least transferable, taste.

A toughie. I'll have to go with Rage just because he looks more like me than any of the other X characters...and I love takoyaki so that seals the deal.

2. 4 panel is the worst invention get out. No, actually, I enjoy singles in many forms (going for the PFC/FEC/FFC on easy stuff, stamina/Pendulum and Dragonforce, maybe even stealthing DDR someday?); I'd just much rather play double if I have the option.
3. A rash decision on the President's part, haha. I guess I'd send anything meant to create new legislation back to Congress, and spend the week getting to know the premiers and prime ministers of other countries. Maybe take care of some of the penpal side of public relations too. Like, if I only have a week, I don't want to mess anything up, you know?

1. Technika, pop'n music, jubeat, Tone Sphere, the occasional REFLEC BEAT and beatmaniaIIDX. Technika and pop'n are my current addictions. I'll throw PIU in because I love it but don't get much of a chance to play it anymore.
2. A tough one. I'm still kind of an "anything goes" guy when it comes to stepping. I aim to create a chart that resonates with the music, and pretty much everything after that is fair game. I enjoy crossover patterns, stretches, mine art, roll art, and excessive gimmicks, but I understand that's not for everybody and charts that I plan to release usually don't have as high proportions of those features. That probably didn't even come close to answering that question, oops
3. I used to be (and still feel more connected with the east coast than the west, lol). I don't go to conventions all that often, but I will be around for DOWNS 3 if all goes well~

1. Nope, as much as I love Pie-kun I don't think a merger is in our best interests. Telpie is just a shortening of Telperion.

1.)Telly, what's your favorite pet name?

I have a hard time explaining doubles to people that don't play it haha. The best advice I can give is to keep track of how the player's center of mass moves and how they have to turn their body to accomplish crossovers and stretches and the like. Center of mass isn't really a concept that figures into single play much and it's probably the hardest to grasp moving into double charting, but it's also the most important, because jerking somebody around feet first tends not to result in a fun chart.


1. If you mean nickname, Telpie is my personal preference but I think anything people regularly use at the moment is fine (Tellyjandro, Telly, teltel, Tallperion, telephones, etc.)

I`m cry (for those who don't know, I'm in love with Nekomata Master's music but in general can't stand Ryu☆)

1) This is kind of impossible ugh. OK, there were a couple things I didn't really care for on his さよなら世界 (Sayonara Sekai) album - To Your Hand and 手紙 (Letter), perhaps.
2) I actually like his stuff under the 青龍 alias less, haha. That said, 中華急行 (Chinese Express) is definitely my favorite, followed by passionate fate or Mind Mapping.
3) First question was definitely harder - I gripe a lot about Ryu☆ but occasionally he does release some nice things. I'm pretty convinced Nekomata Master, on the other hand, poops musical diamonds.
