How do you even do this? It's quite hard to crossover/double-step this part of the song.
Any recommendations (mods, practice, positioning)?

I think if you start with your left foot on up and right foot on left, you won't need to doublestep. The end bit will have a rather nasty crossover in though.

Does it involve pseudo-spinning?

Challenge has only 1 crossover/Afronova walk in the ending. Expert's ending is much harder.

There is no spinning involved in this. Just cross overs that flow into more cross overs.

crossover everything. If you can change gameplay quickly like I can double step the last crossover to hit the last note perfectly.

Experts ending is harder and tough to double step like KON said until the end . Gotta love those DDR crossovers . I have 1G on both songs and they are fun charts

crossover everything.
I usually start on the wrong foot (I think) which makes me double-step all the way.
On what foot do you start?

Start with a reversed crossover - your right foot behind you, on left.
Yes, it's really that simple. ;)

That was basically what I was saying. You're facing right, then at the 16th triplet that leads into measure 59, your right foot hits the right arrow, left hits down, right foot hits left and you're facing left for the rest of the measure. On the last 16th triplet, you still face left, and you backstep so your left foot is on the right, right on up, left foot on left and you hit the freeze with your right, ending facing right.

did a crude diagram

red arrow is the direction you should face. red striped arrow is the direction you will face as you do the crossovers.
the striped grey arrow indicates your feet movement.

I've always found Heavy to be much harder than Challenge on this song personally.

Silver beat me to drawing a diagram, but I'll post mine anyway.

Start with left foot on UP, right foot on LEFT. If you're facing the wrong way, don't bother double-stepping, just miss that yellow arrow at the very top of the screen completely, and get in possition ready for the Death Run.
Section A is played facing to the right, with your left foot always on UP. You will tap non-yellow arrows twice in a row with your right foot.
If you don't doublestep, and Section B will be played exactly the same (facing right), but with your right foot on DOWN. Your left foot will tap non-yellow arrows twice in a row.
The marked arrow is the important part. It's the only UP arrow in the entire sequence, so it's easy to spot and prepare for.
Plant your left foot on the UP arrow, and swing your body around as fast as you can, plant your right foot down on the RIGHT arrow, put all of your body weight in the right foot, and start to run forwards with the left foot.
The sequence is the same as before, only facing to the left. Your left foot will always be on DOWN, and your right foot will tap non-yellow arrows.
Section D is a simple backstep. Keep facing to the left, and don't doublestep. Bring your left foot back to hit the RIGHT arrow, and then get ready to turn into the freeze arrow at the end of the stream.
