I know, I know... stupid decision to buy TX-1000... I bought like 5-6 years ago when I was too stupid to read reviews and what have you.
Anyway, my question: just pulled it out of storage when it's been there since like DDR X came out (around four years...?) and the censors seem a bit... stiff, particularly the up arrow. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It usually doesn't.
I tap the arrow, but it doesn't register a step, basically. I'd assume this came with age because it didn't happen a long time ago.
Is there any way to remedy this? Or should I slap myself for buying a TX-1000?

The first thing to try would be lifting up the arrow panels and cleaning off the pressure sensors. If they get lots of sticky foil residue on them, they can start to act pretty erratic. I own what I believe to be a TX-1000, and it's been working for a pretty long time.

I know my TX-1000 has actually had wires severed before, so if it continues to have response issues, it might be a good idea to peel the black flaps back to make sure the wires haven't disconnected any. Also, the arrow panels on mine are cracked, and I think that has caused problems although I'm not 100% sure.
