Hey everyone
A friend and I have been working on a rhythm/shoot em up(shmup) game called Rhythm Destruction for the past 4 years. We're aiming for release this coming October.
The game plays like a typical shmup, where you control your ship as you maneuver through each stage. The twist however, is that enemies are destroyed with note presses that are synched up to the music(the indicator is similar to elite beat agents).
The game will be released this October for $5 from our website and other various distributors(Desura will probably be one of them).
Official Launch and Gameplay trailer:

We've also launched a Kickstarter campaign, and are in the process of trying to get onto steam through Greenlight. If you're interested in supporting us in either avenue we'd really appreciate it ^^

"meme school" |
Most of my questions were answered via the FAQ. Overall it looks very well made and seems like a fun game.

**build updated as of Sept 23**
The 2-stage demo is now available!
The playable stages are Dynamo(tier 1) & Esperanza(tier 2). Both of them are fairly basic in the rhythm department. Esperanza ramps up the shmup difficulty a little bit though. An interactive tutorial is also available when first launching the game, which is highly recommended!
Please note that Norton will detect the installer exe as "dangerous" and delete it when you try to run it(so you may have to turn it off while installing).
If you have any feedback, comments or problems with the demo, please let me know! Enjoy

1.01 change log:
-Added new graphic options for low, medium, high and max settings(defaulted to high)
-Added options to enable v-sync(enabled by default)
-Many optimizations to work on lower end computers
-Upon dying, the screen is now cleared of all bullets & upcoming notes
-Reworked many sections in both Dynamo and Esperanza to offer a more fair and enjoyable experience
-Increased the duration of the grade check marks after destroying an enemy
-Tutorial now points out the grade check mark

AHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA...HAHA...ha...ha...*cough* Sorry.
Too bad I only have access to a Mac at the moment, otherwise I'd be all over this.
Also, Dynamo by Oscillator X and Esperanza by KaW?

Haha. Ya, Norton is a POS, I gave my brother the same treatment
And yes indeed, most of our music is done by Kyle Ward =)

Please note that Norton will detect the exe as "dangerous" and delete it when you try to run it(so you may have to turn it off). We're working on fixing this, hopefully it'll be resolved later tonight but we can assure you there are no attached viruses lol.
Not directly related to the game, but Norton does seem to be quite paranoid. I have Norton

I hope the game will be sold on Steam, as I already have an account.

If you'd like to play it, It only detects it as dangerous when you're installing it. So if you disable Norton just while you're going to install, it shouldnt cause you any problems after that(just installed it on both my dads and brothers comps, both of whom use norton). I hope we get on Steam too
hehe
edit: Updated the build today!
