Ahhh, I wish I could be there for that! I also find it funny when Pump It Up and TECHNIKA are considered as BEMANI products by some people.

I'll be staff at this con so I'll be there. I only have to load and unload games for Credits Remaining so I'll be free on almost all the days to do as I please.

No it does not mean that. That machine got a kit from Japan and all the other machines that are X2 (not the Betson ones) will have to wait for the same thing, so maybe when X4 comes out the other may be upgraded then. Machines that are not DDR X or X2 will likely never be upgraded because of the new hardware and the need for the ext-I/O, and both are insanely expensive.

So for all the pre-X machines out there in the US (which is too many), is there no choice but to replace the cabinets altogether? Actually, I would love it if Konami replaced all the old machines in the US (and the horrible X/X2 pads too) with DDR X3 / the next DDR.

Ah, so that's what that was...I don't follow the Taiko series like that so I just left that one out since I didn't even know what it was.

TELL ME WHAT THIS MEANSI live in metro Detroit and have been going to Youmacon for years and was ecstatic to hear Bemani Invasion was attending. I was bugging the guy in charge of gaming at Youmacon to find a way to get Technika for months, and he pulled through.
If they remain in Detroit for even a short time I will stalk them as hard as I can. NEED MOAR TECHNIKA
EDIT: I asked the guys myself. They leave first thing Monday for Virginia :C

We will not be staying in Detroit after Youmacon, nor have we announced Tricoro anywhere officially, not sure where OP is collecting his facts from?
Our X3 cab is a Korean cab with all new sensors and countersunk flat screws.
