How many difficulty levels are there per song, and what are they called?
How are difficulty levels rated, how it maps to the old scales, etc?
Mine:
Difficulty Levels:
Novice
Super easy difficulty level. No jumps, freeze arrows, or non quarter notes. Scrolls at a constant rate(like ITG Novice). Easier than beginner.
Equivalent ratings: 1/1-2(X)

Beginner

My Scale:
= Very Easy Mode
Rating scales are 1-3 like normal.
= Average
Rating scales are 2-6, sometimes 7.
= Medium
Ratings scales are 5-9.
- Hard
Rating scales are 5-10.
- Master
Rating scales are 7-12.
Most of the scales are the same, but lets explain the difficulty.
1 - Very simple, never contains 8th notes or anything else.
2 - Simple, but can have more arrows in a row. Still no 8th notes.
3 - Easy. There are no crossovers and does not contain very many freeze arrows. No 8th notes.
4 - Slightly harder, but still easy. There can be 8th notes, but anymore than 6 in a song, the scale will be a 5.
5 - Normal. Most 5s contain a few 8th notes, and sometimes have crossovers. Very rarely there will be 16th notes.
6 - Slightly Normal. There can be crossovers in the 8th notes and have many more than 5s.
7 - Hard. Contains lots of crossovers and 8th notes and oftenly has 16th notes in some spots.
8 - Harder. 16th notes can be scattered and there can be 8th note jumps, crossovers, and freezes.
9 - Very hard. There is lots of chaos, jumps, and crossovers.
10 - MAX-H. 16th notes are all over the place and are hard to hit. There are lots of hands in these ones.
11 - MAX-2. Long streams of 16th notes are throughout the song and have even more hands and jumps.
12 - MAX-E. Hardest difficulty. There are lots of streams of jumps and 16th notes, and sometimes there are a few 16th jumps. Some points make you double step.
