ZIv YuGiOh tournament.

Me and others have decided to make a thread. Also I am trying to set up a small tournament of members. If people can tell me what day and time would be best, that would be great. Also if there's any rules on this tournament that should be said, say so. Right now spots are pretty much filled but if there's a high demand, then I might up the number for more members.

Right now I'm thinking for rules being Advance 2 out of 3 matches. or Advance 2 out of 3 matches, 2 out of 3 rounds. (This one is longer but you can switch decks between rounds.)

Advanced format or Traditional?

Advance format. Here's a list of the cards that are limited/banned http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/limited/ This list goes in effect September 1st. DN should tell you if you can use them or not.

I have a suggestion. There's this program called YGOPro, which is pretty much something like Yugioh Online, but it's free and has the same number of cards as Dueling Network, I believe. It's a 300-350 mb download, and, the most important thing: it's automatic.

What's the problem with DN?

I would rather play in an automatic game, but that's just me. We can avoid human mistakes, but if that isn't possible, no problem.

Hello again. I just gave a test to YGOPro with Chewi, and it's incredibly awesome.
Everything is automatic, and the graphics are EXCELLENT. So I highly suggest using it for the tournament.

I'm game, if switched to YGO Pro then I'll DL it. So please let me know if DN or YGO Pro is the final choice.

I haven't played Yu-gi-Oh for like how many months because of Cardfight Vanguard, but perhaps I'll give it a shot. When will it start?

I would like to make one small request.... No Dark World Decks.

No deal. If it's allowed on advance then it's allowed.

Anywho nuff about that when do we start? Also are we doing Dueling Network or Yu-Gi-Oh Pro? I just want to be 100% on what we're using.

I want in (no idea if I can actually use my deck or not because banned cards) but with school starting I'll have a tight schedule. Sign me up for now, though, please

you shouldn't have no problems if you follow the ban list. Though there is a bypass limit option when creating the decks and there is a seperate duel room set up for those who uses banned decks.

Is there like a standard format with a limited amount of cards from the last few sets or is it pretty much every card not on the banned list goes.

there are 2 formats

1) Advance format:
a) Banned Cards: can't be used at all
b) Limited Cards: You can only have one copy per deck
c) Semi-Limited Cards: You can only have two copies per deck
d) Unlimited Cards: You can have up to the max of three copies per deck

2) Traditional (or Standard) format:
Same as the Advance format with the execption that all Banned Cards goes to the Limited Cards level. As there are no Banned Cards in a Traditional format duel.
