The fact that most SDVX male characters actually look cool while most female characters are fanserviced is lame.
I want more sexy guys in my games instead of all of it being questionably aged girls. For some reason Konami, like a lot of game companies, doesn't seem to realize there's a market for that. Like, why the fuck do they THINK all these k-pop groups full of 18 to 20 year old hot guys with insane makeup and hair are getting popular? For MUSIC?
That wasn’t my point, but okay
My point was that they should stop fanservicing the girls every second, especially the young children. Eww. I’m tired of seeing an anime girl wearing hardly any clothes. I’m sick of it. Even in Pop’n Music, a children’s game! Madoka is a teacher who harasses a male student of hers, and the game hardly takes her seriously. Or any girl in the matter. When you think about it, if you take all the SDVX girls and give them the same hair style, hair color, and outfit, they’ll all look the same.

BEMANI hot takes huh? Interesting, guess I'll bite? Dance Around is somehow worse than the game it's supposed to succeed, standard IIDX cabs feel slow and delayed, and Konami needs to bring back the Eurobeat tracks from older BEMANI games because they were some of the best songs in old versions of IIDX lol

The only American console releases I actually like are MAX, MAX2, SuperNOVA 1 and 2, and X.

Oh, this thread is back. I have one. I don't know how controversial it is because it's just my taste in music, but I can't stand DJ Yoshitaka's style of music. Or at least, what I associate with him first in my head. The kind of high tempo compositions where the song has this higher pitched brass synth that feels the need to play every note known to human kind in the span of 15 seconds. Evans, Jomanda, Albida, that kind of sound. Does this genre have a name? Help me out. You probably get the point, though.

This is a top 10 BEMANI song

Ok, first of all, unless you understand what's being said and the context behind why the talking is put in the songs, there's really no reason to complain about it, we're not the target market for this stuff so how could we understand why right? Cirno's Perfect Math Class the talking is there because they're making fun of the blue fairy because she is a bully in the Touhou world always causing trouble and when she wants to teach her class no one takes her seriously. Most of the dialogue in these denpa songs besides the singing have a meaning behind them that's part of the culture of the stuff the songs are from or what the references are. It's not just senseless annoying babbling for the sake of being annoying. Most of us don't get it and it's a cultural thing that we're not a part of, so I don't think it's very fair to assume it's just being annoying when something deeper is going on that you obviously don't get. As for U1's vocal samples, I don't find them annoying, majority of them fit the tracks, but to each their own, you're entitled to your opinion there, but as for rambling in denpa stuff like Prim, Special Summer Sale and others, there's deeper things going on that you don't understand and references that are present that are catered to the markets and communities they're in, so you don't get it, so I don't think it's fair to just say "STFU it's so annoying!" without getting the reason why it's there in the first place. Be a little more open minded there.

People who pretend that EX US doesn't clap cheeks are only fooling themselves. One of the better US CS titles and it's not even close. If you want EX JP, go and play that lmao

EX US was pretty good, i just hate how mission mode is unlocked on it. Should be there by default.

Since we're talking about DDR...
When it comes to DDR's charting in general, 24th bursts > jumps. Maybe I just suck at jumps but sometimes the amount of jumps in higher-level official charts is a bit much.
Also, shock arrows would be much more fun if they actually used the same idea as ITG's mines mechanics-wise

I actually do agree with that, even though it wasn't very arcade accurate. In fact, I've seen it in DDR Festival.

My controversial opinion is that stepjumps in DDR are not all that hard. How are super long >180 BPM 16th streams easier than slower, more broken-up 16th streams or 8th streams which occasionally have jumps in them? I just passed Tokyo shinwa ESP for the first time today and I swear the last third of the song is MAGNITUDES harder than the beginning!

DDRMAX2 US had the best licenses from all US CS releases, I'd rather play DDRMAX2 US than JP ver.
DDR X US had the worst licenses. (On par with DDR II)
DDR SN2 US song list was weak compared to DDR X2.

I'll never forgive DDR Extreme (and EuroMIX2, to an extent) for replacing most of the background videos from MAX2, gutting out many of the more unique and rarely-used clips for blander ones. Too many examples to list off the top of my head, but some especially hard-hit ones in my opinion were Exotic Ethnic, So Deep (Perfect Sphere Remix), D2R, Destiny, both versions of Can't Stop Fallin' In Love, both versions of True... and especially Firefly, which had so little thought put into it that they used the same clip, with obvious cuts, for 12 consecutive measures. That's almost 20 seconds!
And don't get me started on MAX USA's lazy re-use of other video scripts from MAX2, many of which either don't fit the song at all or were off by one measure, even for a couple songs (like Matsuri Japan) that were just fine in MAX2!

Guy's literally spitting facts. Euromix2 fucked a lot of them up (examples: LIVING IN AMERICA, AFRONOVA, DESTINY, NORI NORI NORI) and EXTREME not only didn't bother to fix them, but also fucked up some other songs such as MIRACLE and LOVIN' YOU. I mean, EXTREME had space limitations so the sacrifices are understandable, but Euromix 2... I'm dead certain it could fit more videos on its disc:
DDRMAX has 253 clips on it.
DDRMAX2 has 427 clips on it (as well as the credits).
Dancing Stage Euromix2 has... 205 clips on it.
DDR EXTREME has 353 clips on it (+credits).
But they just. Decided not to. They threw out clips such as jstuua [tunnel8], jsrera [disco2], jehnza/jehnzb [snow1], jekepa/jekepb [text13], jpbama [ring13], jfmoja [text10], it goes on... for the visual aspect of the game, it's actually kinda pathetic. I doubt the new licenses and beginner charts take up THAT much space.
Other issue: jscuba [cube5] fails to make it to Euromix 2, is brought back for EXTREME, and it still isn't restored to LIVING IN AMERICA. And so is disco2. disco2 [and four other clips] are actually in the files for DDR EXTREME and they never get used. Sad.
Although I will say.
I think the Euromix2/EXTREME script for this is actually better. I don't think rosy/bright orange clips such as text1, text3, text4 fit this song at all. The ring2/tunnel10/text8/bubble1/etc. combination fits it better. text1/text2/text3/text4/text6/moon1 fit LOVIN' YOU a lot better. But yeah that's... the only exception I can think of. The other ones you listed aren't my favorite.
