I'm taking an idea I saw at another forum. Post an opinion you have that is contrary to popular consensus regarding IIDX/DDR/Pop'n/Anything here.
My examples:
I don't really like most Bemani related music if you seperate it from the game it's meant to be played on.
I think Paranoia Hades Challenge is actually an okay chart.
I think the "License" sections of DDR songlists are by and large boring.

Spin the Disc is a bit overrated; for easy charts, I like Super Star much more.
DDR characters need a freaking manga. I only say that because I know they won't bother doing an anime.
I still want to know what the aprons and neckties thing was about some year(s) ago.
And a a physical fight between Rinon and dark Rinon.
... and Rage and Zero. It might last like ten seconds.
I hate the first half of Saber Wing
's chart.
I don't get Yoshitaka hate. If his stuff all sounds like one song, that one song is pretty good to me.
Stepmania is not the same as DDR, and I would rather pay out the nose for more DDR games than convert to Stepmania.
I really want the DanceMasters characters to be in the sequel. Dave wears the coolest stuff... before you get DLC.

(And it was the first song that I pretty much memorized the stepchart for because I couldn't pass it on DDR S, I played it so much that I memorized it)

This for both Yoshitaka and jun.Choreography Mode in DDR 2010 was a welcome addition to the game, aside from Expert level.
I like GORGEOUS 2012. Not even ironically.

I think the interface used from MAX to Party Collection was the best interface DDR ever had.
I did not enjoy any of the Xbox 360 DDR titles.
Alice and SN2/X2 Emi are the best characters.
I think Pluto Relinquish has fun charts.
Shock arrows are stupid.
I appreciate beatmania CS US.

I enjoyed DDR X US CS and DDR X2 US CS.
APPEND: Baby-lon is the most under appreciated DDR character, as well as Robo-Zukin.

TBH, I would love for Wish (Eurobeat Mix) to be in DDR X-3.
I like Jun as an artist but her charts have become stale: spam crossovers with a slowdown.
For me: I don't like Asaki.

A few of the ones I have:

- Newer BEMANI games have better song lists. I look at old BEMANI and there isn't really a lot of stuff I like while all the recent stuff is much better.
- Related to the above, Hiroshi Watanabe and SLAKE are overrated. I like SLAKE for his SPARKER stuff and his newer stuff after he left BEMANI is pretty cool too, but all his old stuff, which all his fans seem to absolutely adore him for, is bland and repetitive for me.
As for Watanabe... never liked a song from him.
- HAPPY SKY is over-hyped and IIDX fans need to stop comparing every single style ever to it. Yes, I get it, it had Mei.
-YOSHITAKA is one of my favorite artists. Even though he may use the same synths and has the nickname of "Mr. 185", the songs he does are varied enough that I don't care if it uses the same instrumentation.
And lastly, and here's the big one for me:
- BEMANI fans are killing the genre with their elitism. This seems to be shifting away, but I still see it where if you can't pass a 10 (15 X-Scale)* you need to stfu and gtfo because ur such a n00b (Also known as "You Call THAT an Acheivement?" Syndrome).

-A part of me dies whenever I see a post saying Yoshitaka is PRASTIK DANCEFLOOR. If a post about that makes Baby Jesus cry then surely Baby Jesus is already drowning in his tears. *cough*outphase.com*cough*
-YAKSHA is the most underrated LK song. I hardly see any fanarts based on the song compared to the other LK songs. Also, I have yet to see a video of the song unlocked, making In The Blackest Den and NNRT the second and third underrated LK songs respectively as well.
-Nekomata Master and Seiya Murai are overrated. The former's songs sound the same and the latter is a poor man's wac. On what I said about Nekomata, it's ironic I like the February 9* duo's songs, but at least Nekomata somewhat appeals to me more than Seiya does.
Not a fan of good-cool.
