"Coming Soon" is a song you can only play in Stellar Master Mode, you can't unlock it to play in Game Mode/The games song list."comming soon" (I play in stellar mode)
thx.

I'm pretty sure that DDR SuperNOVA and Dancing Stage SuperNOVA have the same unlock system, and there are no cheat codes for Strike/Max.

1. Go to a planet in Stellar Master Mode. Each planet has a selection of tracks, usually 5-10 each, along with a set of challenges to complete. There are additional, secret challenges as well, but usually you'll trip over them coincidentally - many of them are just scoring really really well on a song or using a particular modifier/option, especially early on.
2. Complete enough challenges/goals to recieve a VIP card. There are three in total per planet. Also, try to score well because playing earns you dance points (you can get those in any mode, however).
3. Once you have a VIP card, you can take on the "Stellar Challenge," which is usually a sequence of 5 missions, usually involving the songs from that planet. Hit the "back" button to get to the "planet info" screen, then press right to access the "Stellar Showdowns," there are three per planet, each becoming available with VIP cards. Pass an acceptable number of those to "win" that planet. Early on it's 3/5, but about 3/4 of the way through, you'll have to pass 4/5.
Doing this will make the next planet in sequence available (with it's own tracklist), and the songs you played on that planet will become available in the Shop (access from title screen or quick menu). The higher the VIP level you passed the planet on, the lower the price will be in dance points.
4. Go to the shop, and purchase the songs, courses, or other things you'd like from the shop mode. Left and right changes the category of purchases, up and down takes you through the list. "Coming Soon" usually means the song is playable on an open planet (in Stellar Master Mode) that hasn't been completed yet.
This is not to be confused with a jingle that's used in some certain, often ridiculous missions in Stellar Master Mode, which also, IIRC, is called "Coming Soon." It's only used on missions however, and doesn't have real official stepcharts.
______________________________
DDR STR!KE and Dancing Stage MAX are very similarly unlockable through the game's "Dance Master Mode," although the sequence for that mode is much more straight-forward.
1. Begin Dance Master Mode by selecting an "area," which corresponds to relative difficulty. That will give you a number of song options, each with their own mission, although a good number of them are "just pass the song" or "get this grade/score or better." Passing these stages will allow you to continue further in that area.
2. Sometimes a song will have a secret, secondary mission that's optional. In this case, it's usually either scoring really well on the song, or an exaggeration of the mission it tells you to do.
Some of the "missions" in this mode involve Nonstop Courses. Everything becomes added to the shop as you explore Dance Master Mode and discover them. It's kind of like an adventure game that way.
3. The object of each area is to find and recover a number of "trophies" hidden within it. A trophy stage will be red instead of the usual yellow, and will usually be the only option you get at the closing point. Most of the hidden missions will enable X-## stages which let you open songs earlier than you would otherwise, and they usually give you shortcuts towards the trophies. However, most sections make you recover more than one trophy, so you'll have to make different selections in order to flesh them out.
4. There are also 30 "secret arrows" hidden in the mission stepcharts - invisible arrows that only appear in a certain mission in addition to the song's regular stepchart. Finding one of these will instantly give you 1000 DP (the first time). You can usually tell what missions they're in, because after completing it, the game will offer a hint for sale (the very 1000 DP you'd make from it?) right after the song it's featured in.
It will also sell you some of the more obscure hidden mission descriptions for unlocking X-stages, or if you've played long enough, it will sell you up to 10 additional "alternate pathways" as well. You do not have to purchase a "secret mission" in order to complete it, however. Once you have completed it, or found the secret arrow, it'll drop the price of that "hint" to 100.
5. Every time you go to quit, give yourself a little time first. Visit the shop, buy what you want. AND DON'T FORGET TO SAVE (or return to the title screen to enable auto-save)!! Nothing sucks harder than a good 2-hour streak in DMM, or finally licking a troublesome mission, only to forget that!
DDR STRiKE/DS MAX also features "note" (Type2) and "flat" (Type3) arrows, but they must be turned on via "Title > Options > Graphic Options" (or was it "Gameplay Options?), you can't select them via the "options" menus. A few missions still force one type or the other, however.

This is news to me. How exactly is this determined? Is it the highest difficulty you pass when clearing the planet or the highest difficulty passed total? Does clearing multiple difficulties reduce the cost more than just clearing the highest difficulty? (or do they not let you take the higher challenges until you've passed the lower ones? I don't remember exactly how it works...)Post #7 · Posted at 2012-05-30 04:40:38am 12.9 years ago

The more of the challenges you pass, the more VIP passes you get. There's something like a Silver/Gold/Platinum set you get, where you can take on 3 different showdowns. The higher level showdown results in the lowest price per song. (Except maybe the songs from "THE LAST.")
