hi. I am looking for an itg2 for my ps2, I checked ebay and amazon. and they dont have one.
just wanting to know if there is even one out.
I have itg custom build by mdawg with a itg2 ps2 theme on it. so I would think there is a ps2 one.
if there is one out can you tell me where to buy it?
thanks.

There was a leaked alpha build of it, but no, it wasn't released.

The closest you can get is to buy In The Groove for the PC and download the official update packs. That essentially turns it into In The Groove 2. I think stepmania.com still hosts them.

well I already have an in the groove, on my computer with all the itg songs. ie. itg 1, itg 2, itg 3, itg rebirth.
I just wanted it on the ps2 cause you can push all four arrows on the floor pad. and I have a usb pad for the computer, but you can only push 2 arrows at a time.
cause I am an expert ddr person and like hard songs with hands in them. and on the PC I have all my favorite songs.

You know you can configure this setup to have it be all four arrows in Stepmania or whatever other program you are using right? In fact, why not just use Stepmania? 7 years ago i had the same issue where the game could only input 2 arrows being pressed at the same time but then i figured out how to configure the other buttons through the menu's Controller options menu. Pretty simple and from then on i just played with ease.

Well I figured out how to configure the keyboard keys to push 4 at a time.
but the floor pad I cant figure out.
O. and I had stepmania 3.9 but it skips alot on my computer and it messed up some of the .sm files. [like made the game crash when trying to open them, or the background was just pink]. plus I like In The Groove better.
I have In The Groove by mdawg, with In the groove 2 theme.

Just burn the ITG 2 data onto a blank DVD, do some configuring and altering with your PS2 (which destroys the warranty), and you're good to go.
EDIT: Works best with a PS2 Slim. In fact, I think it ONLY works with PS2 Slim.

ok, I have a slim ps2 with a flat front not a ridged one. [ the very newest one before ps3.]
so just burn the data that runs on a pc to a dvd? [ i.e. .exe files and songs?]
And how do I modify the ps2? [ I don't care about warranty, cause I got it used. but I do care if it breaks it though.]
Thanks...
...AnonyWolf for your help...
p.s. how to post ddr songs on this website for other people to download?

Official DDR simfiles are already available here. If you want to post your own simfiles you will have to request your own category, in the requesting topic on the Simulation subforum.

i have a disc for ps2 that has itg 1 2 and 3 song packs on it. i use whats called swap magic on my ps2 to play burnt games. you have to get a disc off the internet and then some how open up your ps2 and take a plastic part out that tells the ps2 when it is open and when it is not, so basically your ps2 always has to think that it is closed, i bought the disc from a friend and he modded it so i have no idea how to do it, but there is also tutorials on the internet that show you how to make your own itg disc for your ps2, like it just uses the itg1 for ps2 as a base, but you can add a custom theme and whatever song packs you want and then burns it to a disc, but thats only if your ps2 plays burnt games

^You make it sound so easy to make discs when its not. The PS2 port of ITG is actually very picky with how it plays and what you can modify in the game. I was working on an in the groove 3 modification of the theme but gave up due to the limitations of modifying the images of the game (keep in mind this was going to still be "a very basic theme" that still ran on ITG PS2's theme). The custom songs also had to be "spot on" with the specifications the game needs to run the game or the game will just lock up or crash, and even then it usually ended up becoming a laggy mess after adding 100 or so songs.
in the groove 2 alpha is not that great. It has problems and likes to lock up and crash a lot as well. Its missing many of the features that the arcade release and even ITG1 had, so it isn't really worth checking out.
