I'm thinking of buying one of those thingys to play IIDX on the computer, since i already have USKOC and all. But it seems like people have different opinions on the adapters, for example some say the radioshack one works and some doesn't. Any advice? and please dont tell me to buy a japanese game...

Buy a Japanese game. Most adapters suffer from horrible lag.
