Hey everyone

(Click the banner to download)
The Exceltastic Four Volume #1 is a collaborative sim pack containing five files each from Gazebo, TYLR, Valex and Xythar. We've been working on this pack for the last few months and now it's finally ready for public consumption. We hope you'll enjoy what will hopefully be the first of many productions by The Exceltastic Four!
All files contain full singles difficulties in the ITG style. Mines and rolls are used (primarily on the
charts, but occasionally on
and lower difficulties as well) and several files contain other advanced techniques such as footswitches. However, with the difficulty spread available we believe there should be something for everyone.
Note that you will need SM 3.9 Plus or better for the rolls to work.
To keep things interesting, we began by stepping
and creating graphics for five songs each, then each of us did
to
for five other files. The full list of files, including who did what and a brief blurb for each file by the
author, is below. Please note that all difficulties listed are on the ITG scale, not the DDR X scale.

Afternoon tea dream - ELEKTEL - Jazz Lounge - ( 1 / 5 / 7 / 9 / 11 )
: Xythar,
-
: TYLR
A fairly easy if technical 11 to a chill number by Japanese acid jazz / shibuya-kei group Elektel. Streams, 24th and 32nd bursts, varied rhythms and a jazzy interlude keep things fresh.

Arisen Anew - Joren "Tensei" De Bruin - Dance - ( 1 / 4 / 7 / 10 / 12 )
: Valex,
-
: Gazebo
A tough 12 that is reminiscent of Mute's Rainbow Tylenol file. The toughest part of this file are the 24th streams (the longest one lasts for 3 measures) but the file also contains some tough crossovers and 32nd drills. See if you can catch what terrible, terrible song is played in a section of the sax solo!
-bn.png)
be quiet (SF Glitch Techno Mix) - Sota Fujimori - Glitch Techno - ( 2 / 4 / 8 / 10 / 12 )
: Gazebo,
-
: Xythar
The
chart consists mostly of broken stream at 157 bpm, but don't be fooled - it's pretty relentless and draining even for a 12. The music and steps are very layered, and heavy use of speed gimmicks accent the song's glitchiness.

Beyond the Future - 7 Sequence - Technical House - ( 1 / 3 / 5 / 7 / 9 )
: Valex,
-
: Gazebo
A fun warmup chart to an awesome song from DJMAX Technika. The
chart is full of tricky 16th rhythms, and the beginning of the chart has some tough 16th crossovers. There are also some gimmicks to keep you on your toes.

Cat And Mouse - Neko - VGM - ( 1 / 3 / 7 / 9 / 11 )
: TYLR,
-
: Valex
A fun Chu Chu Rocket remix I found in the old keyboard VGMP. It runs at approximately 188 bpm and includes a fair amount of 16th footswitches in the
chart, but don't worry; they're actually not nearly as hard as that might sound. If you're good at switches, this'll probably be a pretty easy 11 for you, and very fun. If you're bad at them, it'll be a little harder, but still manageable.

Chiaroscuro - Arctures - Breakcore - ( 2 / 4 / 7 / 12 / 14 )
: Valex,
-
: TYLR
A borderline 13/14 that requires you to be able to move quickly at 206 BPM. The first part of this chart is full of broken 16th rhythms (and even some 12th notes.) The song then slows down to half speed, and some long sets of 16th streams begin as the song starts to gradually speed back up. A set of long holds give you a break before the final sets of streams.

Dreadnought - EarBreaker - Big Beat - ( 1 / 3 / 6 / 8 / 10 )
: Xythar,
-
: Gazebo
A by-the-numbers 10 with a catchy if oft-repeated rhythm and some fun mine use in the middle. Great for warming up or chilling out.
-bn.png)
Eggs (Sanxion7 Remix) - Mayhem - Electro - ( 1 / 2 / 5 / 8 / 10 )
: Gazebo,
-
: Valex
A pretty straightforward 10 for a great remix by Sanxion7 that is arguably better musically than the original. There isn't any stream in the chart - just broken 16th and 24th rhythms with forced double steps, and slowdowns at the beginning, middle, and end.

F - D.J. Amuro - Renaissance - ( 2 / 4 / 7 / 9 / 13 )
: Xythar,
-
: TYLR
What does F stand for? When playing the
chart, you'll soon find that it represents both footspeed and footswitches, not to mention fpitchrelevance. A upper-end 13/borderline 14 featuring pitch-relevant stream, lots of candles, a number of 24th bursts and a footswitch section. Have fun!

Galactic Safari - The Banger Bros. - Electro - ( 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 )
: Valex,
-
: TYLR
This is a mostly straightforward file, though there are a bunch of parts that might trip you up if you don't know they're coming. The hardest part of the chart is a bunch of 24th trills in the middle of the song. Other thing to watch out for are jacks (both 12th and 16th jacks, actually) and some 24th gallops. There're also some basic gimmicks. This is also an awesome song!

Grindbreaking - odaxelagnia - Speedbreakloligrindcore - ( 3 / 7 / 10 / 13 / 15 )
: TYLR,
-
: Xythar
The "boss song" of the pack, this is a 220 bpm bitch and a half from odaxelagnia, of SPEEEDCOOOORE fame, featuring guest vocals by NeroshaTE. The
chart has technical 16th rhythms, fast jumps, 24th drills, and an 8-measure 16th stream that make it...kind of a harder 15 than I'd originally planned on writing (almost a 16, even), but it is what it is. Good luck.

Lovely Storm - L.E.D.-G - Happy Hardcore - ( 1 / 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 )
: TYLR,
-
: Valex
This is a fun little song to warm up with. The
chart has a lot of 8th note crossovers, forced by holds, with a few short 16th runs that push it up to the 10-block level. There's one section where you have to kind of feel the notes, since stepping to the music exactly made for a pretty bad chart, but I think they feel pretty good.

Moon Race - ELEKTEL - Future House - ( 1 / 4 / 8 / 10 / 12 )
: TYLR,
-
: Gazebo
I've never heard of "future house" before, but if this is it, it's good stuff. Really sweet song from IIDX Happy Sky, with a sweet bassline and nice, diverse instrumentation, including my personal instrument of choice, the saxophone. It only runs at 147 bpm, but the
chart is very turny, so make sure you're nice and LOOSE WITH IT before you play it.
-bn.png)
Rock That Body (Skrillex Remix) - The Black Eyed Peas - Electro - ( 1 / 3 / 6 / 8 / 9 )
: Gazebo,
-
: Valex
Despite the Skrillexy nature of the song, this chart is relatively light on gimmicks, which should hopefully please the Skrillex haters out there. The
chart includes easy 8th note foot switches, some 64th swing rhythms, and a few lengthier 16th note bursts. Be ready for a couple stop gimmicks and a slowdown!

Session 9 -Chronicles- - PRASTIK DANCEFLOOR - Rockin' Drum'n'Bass - ( 2 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 14 )
: Gazebo,
-
: Xythar
This is an energetic chart to go with a great, energetic song. The first half is rather easy, but the second half contains a decent amount of stream at 189 bpm. Some speed gimmicks are included to spice things up, though the chart is still c-moddable.

Shind Bad - DJ Sharpnel - J-Core - ( 1 / 5 / 8 / 10 / 13 )
: TYLR,
-
: Gazebo
A lot of you probably know this song already, as it's been stepped by several other artists in the past. This one is a standard R23-length cut, and the
chart includes a lot of gallops that can be surprisingly tiring, and a 8-measure 16th stream, which, at 198 bpm, can be pretty challenging, depending on where your strengths and weaknesses lie. Also, yes, that is Sinbad hidden in the graphics.

So Fabulous !! -ONLY ONE Remix- - SUPER STAR -MITSURU- - Only One Eurobeat - ( 1 / 5 / 9 / 11 / 13 )
: Gazebo,
-
: Xythar
A borderline 12/13 that focuses largely on 24th drills and staircases at 170. The beginning of the chart is relatively easy, but once the first big stream comes, things start to pick up. Be ready to get your feet moving fast on those 24ths!

Temporal Despair - The GuitahHeroe - Trance - ( 1 / 3 / 6 / 8 / 11 )
: Valex,
-
: Xythar
One of the most technical charts in the pack. The beginning of this chart contains some short 16th runs with crossovers and, later, Tell jumps. After that is some broken up 16th streams with short 32nd drills. The climax of the chart is during the organ solo, which contains some 24th bursts and a tricky jack section.

The Sky of Sadness - Nekomata Master - World/Electronica - ( 1 / 3 / 5 / 8 / 11 )
: Xythar,
-
: TYLR
A lower end 11 featuring broken stream with the occasional 24th burst, bookending a series of pitch relevant crossover runs that form the song's main hook. If you like crossovers, you've come to the right place!

Wuv U - kors k - Candy Rave - ( 1 / 4 / 6 / 8 / 9 )
: Xythar,
-
: Valex
Rounding off the pack is a fun, loosely patterned 9 that harks back to the old days, albeit with a few gimmicks thrown in to keep things interesting. Great for casual play.
Hope you enjoy it!

Everybody needs to get this pack. It's so good...AND it's got full difficulties.
