Yesterday I got a bike wreak and broke my left arm. I'm ok (expect for the arm) largely do to a $30 helmet that save my head from any real damage . I have a temporary cast right now and I'm going to get a permanent cast in a few days. My question is, will I be able to play DDR with a cast or should I wait the 6 weeks and stay away from the beloved arrows?
I have ways to play the game while sitting down in a chair, but that's not as fun. Also, I can play with my right hand on the psp or the ipad that I'll be getting in about ten days.
Has anyone been in this situation before? What do you guys think?

You probably shouldn't play with a broken [anything]. because the ammount of physical force will still send vibrations through your body, and into the cast :{

What Tyma said.
Never try to play or do any physical activity if it involves that (eventhough if you're not playing with bar, you're moving your whole body, that might affect your arm, plus, you're sweating, the cast will get wet, and you'd put strength in your elbow so that's not good)
I'd highly recommend resting (I have never broken my arm, but I have sprained my ankle 3 times and my knee over 20 times.. I'm not kidding).
Also, did you get surgery?

You put the pad in front of the chair and just extend your legs as much as possible and play lol

That's dumb.
Append: Learn to play with your feet without a bar/without a chair. Arms aren't really necessary.

Why not pass the time by working to become the 1-handed master of Para Para Paradise?

@ Ali Uchiha
I didn't need surgery thankgoodnes. I'll take up the resting idea. So it seems that there will be no Candy for me :p
Also, when I am college sometimes I need to use a chair so the people under me didn't hear all the stomping.
@ Tyma
That may work, unfortunately I don't have the game anywhere around me. Looks fun though.
I may start work on one handed Jubeat play (easy mode) when I get my Ipad.

I've seen people play with a broken arm. I've also seen someone play drummania with a broken arm as well (dumb idea, don't do it). Its really up to you if you want to play badly or not and how your arm feels when you play. I would recommend holding onto the bar with one hand and arm which will decrease the amount of vibrations in your body. Obviously don't be holding onto the broken arm though.
Also don't play anything that would be considered a boss song I guess. Its kind of hard to play with one arm and I am sure it wouldn't do you any good with a broken arm. Plus it can be really dangerous... My arm slipped and I fell when my hand became so sweaty while playing one hand on the bar.
So you should be "okay" to play. Just limit yourself to how long you play and take into account what I said. As I am a former gymnast, I have seen people still go to the gym and train even with broken body parts, your just really limited to what you can do.
