since noone posts in the guitarfreaks section, guitar hero will probally win...
I think guitar hero its just a little more entertaining because of the 5 button layout, compared to 3. although gf has a really good collection of ORIGINAL songs... thats right activision better juice up the songs in ghIII.

GF and GH approach difficulty in different ways, although I would consider GF the "harder" game.
That being said, I'm no fan of GH3, which somewhat colors my opinion of that series. Overall, I would rank GF as the better game, although the Harmonix-developed GH games weren't too bad.
