Hardest non-boss Expert songs (old scale)

I wonder if this was made before...

Name says it all, but I'm only considering 8 and up since 7's are too similar to each other. Do 7's or even 6's if you want.

8 - I'd go with DROP OUT, but IDK if that counts at all :p Tough choice
9 - Xenon
10 - It's either Sakura, Bag, or Xenon. I go with Sakura.

Drop Out is a 9.
If we count longer songs, than Aggro Mix from Universe 2 definitely counts. Unborn, Disabled The Flaw, Dead End and Elfadiciell at 180 BPM? Gah.

I'm not sure which mixes we're restricted to, but here's mine, as in, the hardest 9 footers:

4th Mix and before: Drop Out

Max 2 and before: Healing Vision ~Angelic Mix~

Extreme and before: Cartoon Heroes

SuperNOVA2 and before: Konoko no nanatsu no oiwaini

Mix Restriction: Pre-X snce that dropped the scale

HVAM and So Deep are the 2 songs I never thought of as "difficult" TBH. HVAM I can understand with all the crossovers/double-steps, though.

Arrabbiata is the hardest 9 hands down.

888 challenge is the hardest level 10? :V

Contest between that and Paranoia hades. (and both got effectively rerated to 10s anyway so it's kind of a moot point)

But yeah, 888 challenge is (definitely) the hardest (arguably) non-boss song.

Hardest 7-footer: either Highs off U heavy or Celebrate Nite heavy.LET THEM MOVE

Hardest 7-footer... has to be one of those speed-up remixes in 4th mix... Hero (Happy Grandale Mix)
Hardest 8? Witch Doctor (Giants Toons Version). But Across the nightmare is also a honorable mention. It is NOT an easy 8.
Hardest 9... Konoko no nanatsu no oiwaini (would be Arrabbiata really, but as pointed out, it got rerated to a 10 or something like that).

But still, I can only agree that 888 is really hard for a boss song.

Xenon isn't that hard once you get the rhythms down. It's sloppy, granted, but it's a ton of fun. There are definitely more difficult 9s to pass.

I don't think Arabbiatta is that hard, but it clearly holds the crown.

Flash In The Night, My Fire and Uh La La La are probably close contenders. Uh La La La is obviously the hardest song in the series listed lower than a 9.

I don't know much about the pre-Extreme licences, nor many of the other older songs, but out of stuff I've played (Extreme-X2 CS + HP1):
Hardest 5 . . . Uranus?
Hardest 6 . . . Under the Sky
Hardest 7 . . . CURUS
Hardest 8 . . . Paranoia ~HADES~; or maybe Captivate ~Chikai~ if you don't want to count that horrible misrating (I'm surprised neither was mentioned) since it's not a boss song
Hardest 9 . . . Arrabiata, obviously, then Konoko no nanatsu no oiwaini
Hardest 10 . . . Xepher

Under The Sky is the hardest 6 because it has more streams and space.

Waka Laka, I don't know but Captivate (SN2) to me was the hardest 8 Ever played.

So Deep, that was hard in itself, and the style with the steps matched PERFECTLY.

Drop the Bomb isn't really difficult until the very end. That's pretty much the only difficult part of the song.

Too repetitive (like many 4thMIX songs) to be really difficult. The speed's about the only thing that may throw you off.

Somewhere Over The Rainbow 16th stream at the beginning is something someone starting to go up in difficulty will stumble on.

I personally think PARANOiA ~HADES~ S9 beats out Arrabbiata S9 by a pretty wide margin of difficulty, but EDIT: HADES is technically a boss song whoops
