► News from bacon, WinDEU, drano and ΩOMEGAΩ:
►► There is a SuperNOVA2 intro.
►► After you select the number of players, each player gets to select a character. Disk characters are back; Yuni is back; a new character called JULIO has been added.
►► Avaliable modes are: Beginner, Standard, Battle, Nonstop and Challenge. Tutorial is under construction.
►► 27 new songs.
►► There are no new stages for the backgrounds; they all still use current SuperNOVA1 stages.
►► In Battle mode, you can choose the CPU difficulty from 1 to 5; attacks go up to level 4.
►► AAA is possible with 990k score or above. AAA is also achieveable if you get all PERFECT or MARVELOUS; achieve it this way, you will get FULL PERFECT COMBO under the grade on the result screen. AA requires 950k score.
►► MARVELOUS timing is present in normal play. PERFECTS seem to be worth 10 points less than MARVELOUSES.
►► On the FINAL STAGE, one song is in red and is called Volcano. You must play this to get Extra Stage.
►► You get to choose your own mods in EXTRA STAGE; the ES is Unreal by Black Rose Garden.
►► In EXTRA STAGE, the life bar is gone and is replaced with the Oni meter with four lives.
►► In ENCORE EXTRA STAGE, varying modifiers are forced on, you are not allowed to select your own modifiers. The life bar is gone and is replaced with the Oni meter. How many lives you get is determined by how well you do in Unreal.
►► COURSES are present now. Two nonstop and two oni courses are avaliable.
►► eAMUSE is now avaliable; eAMUSE will be present in the final release; subject to arcades' willingness to commit to an Internet connection and installing the eAMUSE readers. 0.5x and a noteskins can be unlocked.
►► SAKURA Expert is a 9; SAKURA Challenge is an 8.
►► volcano, Unreal and NGO will not be used for the Extra Stage and Encore Extra Stage in the final version.
►► Category sort includes: DDR SuperNOVA2, DDR SuperNOVA and DDR Extreme.

I'm guessing SLOTH MUSIC PROJECT is Konami. If so...ugh. I don't recognize any licenses as Dancemania songs except for Me Against the Music

From the videos, it seems like every SN1 song is on there.

And remember, this is not the final version. So we may or may not get them.

It won't. Just before WinDEU fails, you can see that the freeze arrow will end.

A lot of people are saying that Konami was having trouble getting the licenses, so they put in a bunch of Hottest Party licenses to fill up the location test song list. Just a rumor though.

It has been strongly hinted by the Konami execs present at the test that Unreal and NGO will NOT be the ES and EES of the full game. It is hinted they are just placeholders.

I heard that they didn't say it outright, but it doesn't matter.
Just want to know what the ES and EES (it isn't OMES anymore :p) will be.

Doubtful. The song does have streams that call for, at the very least, 8th notes. Unless they give it some really awful cut (which they seem to have a habit of doing).

Let's hope they'll stop cutting crossovers. Raspberry Heart (English Version) wasn't cut, and it was 1:47, so that may be a good sign.

What other sites are saying, Unreal and Volcano are NOT boss songs. Nothing I’ve seen on NGO throw. So there is still hope for a new Max.

The only Video I have seen is NGO, And I’m saying BEST EES SONG EVER. Reminds me of Mirage Residence

piepie: Pop'n Music songs tend not to be as long as some of the stuff from, say, IIDX... long versions notwithstanding.

Pandemonium X: I haven't seen enough of NGO to make my mind up on it. Of the "boss" songs so far, however, Volcano is a fun, relatively tricky chart, and Unreal is a good song mired with one of the sickest step-jump runs one could ever imagine. I realize these will be deprecated in favor of new boss songs, but here's to hoping they at least stick around.
