Im using this theme http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/viewthread.php?threadid=3556&page=12
and when i go to song selection although all my songs are in individual folders, it displays them as if they are not and all the songs are together.

Change the default sort to Group in the options menu.

I don't use that particular StepMania build. All I know is that you are currently set to either Preferred or the Songwheel Groups option is currently set to All or Off.

There's song group option which has choose or all music that isn't it. Also wheel selections but that isn't it either.

Are you not able to change it on the select music screen itself? Change the sort until you see Group or Default.

I honestly don't know. Someone who uses the theme will have to help you then...

Try changing "ShowSelectGroup" in StepMania.ini to 1.

I can remember running into a similar issue when I first started using the X2 theme that you're using. However, I managed to solve it by changing a value in the theme's metrics.ini, and that ended up fixing it. Open up the metrics file and look for a line titled "ShowSections=-1" (it should be under the [MusicWheel] section about a fifth of the way down, or you can use Ctrl+F to find it) and change the -1 to a 1, save it, run StepMania, and that should fix it.
