Pop'n Music simfiles

Not sure if it's okay to post these here, the site has DDR sims so I don't see a problem. If there's one, can one of the mods delete the topic?

Pop'n Music simfiles for playback on Lunatic Rave 2 and possibly other IIDX simulators (did not check any other than LR2 though). No BGA or anything like that, so obviously missing much of the charm, but they are playable and ought to give you at least some fun.

I'm currently in the process of ripping the earlier games, so I'll try and update this post once there's a new pack available. All files tested on LR2 with Lightpop skin, everything seems to work fine on my side of things, but if you find some songs that are not working, please report - I will look into fixing them. Also, there are some notable songs missing from 15 and below - I'm using Pop'n 16 as a basis for the rips, and it does not have all the songs from earlier mixes available (;_; Parade ;_;)

Only 9-line sims, I don't think anyone will miss 5-line all that much. 12-16 was done by me, 17 and up I found on the internet (but did some minor fixing here and there on those, so if you have them already, I guess you can redownload them).

incidentally, if anyone has a way of batch converting the wav files here to ogg, I'd like that. As much as love the fact they're on here, I'm really not liking the file size.

But converting won't save you much size - the WAVs use MS ADPCM compression already.

Depends on what bitrate you set it for.

I tested some of the .wav files from the packs and encoding them to 128kbps (constant bitrate, full stereo) .ogg files reduced the size of the files to almost 1/4th of the originals with no apparent quality loss.

I tried to use that OggDrop and it wouldn't do anything :<

I know it's a bit much, so I'm not expecting anyone to, but if someone could upload a mirror with them at 192 oggs, I'd really like that.
