the BGAs are a little generic so the minor entertainment was something i didn't like
the stepcharts lacked character as though they were computer-generated
the songs themselves also lacked character and genre that pump it up has
in summary, i don't think it's a pump it up game at all

Over all I’d love to try it out. And think you for reviving this forum.

It's a shame. I was in Wildwood NJ today, and they had a Pump PRO machine at Ed's Funcade. (There are three locations; this one was just off of 23rd Street.) Unfortunately, it was having technical difficulties while I was there. Mega-sad! They did have two ITG2 Gold machines on either side of it; I played on one of them.

Hehe, I played on the same machines a week ago, all three of them.
You have received some GSB radiation. Sorry the Pump machine was receiving maintenance, though. Probably the P1 side; last week, the leftmost 2 buttons were not very sensitive, according to local players. I instinctively stomped anyway and never noticed it though, because I'm too used to the crappy SN1 pads here in GA.
It was that Pump Pro machine that led me to my own little conviction that I like Pump It Up better than DDR, but still not as much as ITG.
I was surprised that, even though there were many popular simfiles on the ITG Gold machines (776 songs), EternuS wasn't on there. Good thing I had it on my USB stick! But I couldn't play my long songs because it was an r23. A few songs, mainly Mungyodance, especially MGD2 pack2 songs, have GSBY for the highscore.
Anyway, on the (old) topic of PIU Pro, I'm still wondering how I could convince my arcade to drop their idea of someday getting SN2, for getting this instead. I had way more fun playing on that Pro machine (as a first-time PIU player, too!) than I ever had on our SN1, and I've played the SN2 simfiles enough that their novelty has worn off.

In first, I apologize to up such a very old topic like this, but I don't want to create a topic just for this.
And I far as I know, I haven't seen this before somewhere.
I've found something interesting today about the progressive mode music.
First, listen to this song : Half Life ~credits theme~.
Now, listen to the progressive mode music : PIU PRO Progressive Mode music
Did ANDAMIRO/PIU PRO team get permission or right from Valve to use it as a sample ?

The production music from the original ITG was all stolen from an obscure CD of "Christian Dance Music", so I'm assuming nobody gave anybody permission to do anything.
