This is a minor rather irrelevant update to official ddr news but it should be worth noting. The official message boards for DanceDanceRevolution, ddronlinecommunity.com, is no longer an active site. Typing in the url automatically redirects you to a new branch page that will guide you to one of the two site for the available ddr games currently on the market. If you know anyone who exclusively used those forums, you might want to redirect them here, since this is pretty well the most friendliest ddr community on the internet (at least in my opinion).

Wow I didn't know that DDR actually has an official message board.
Now forums are getting dead.. I hope ZiV won't....
BTW, I'm (or we're) welcoming new member! If you're from ddronlinecommunity.com and reading this thread, welcome! Hope you'll enjoy your stay here

1st UK and now DDROC. It's not safe to be a DDR forum site.

DDROC was only serious when it first started up. It should have had frequent, direct contact with people working on DDR, but it ended up being pure fansite, something that places like ZIV already do better. It served no purpose, unfortunately.

Pretty much... it was cool when they sort of cared and kept us updated but lacking any good announcements and whatnot made it less appealing than most fansites. :\Post #7 · Posted at 2011-02-15 02:42:23am 14.4 years ago

I think Konami has pretty much resorted Facebook to act as a community portal, otherwise leaving the fans to running the online community (wise choice in my opinion).

That's so weird... I was just on the website yesterday looking up unlock codes for SuperNOVA 2 (which I swear to god is impossible to put in). I don't really care that the website is gone. It was a very poor attempt at a online community. The only good things that I saw come out of it were the unlock codes, miscellaneous announcements and the random DDR youtube videos.

Everything is getting stale on that site anyway, I don't think they even have information for the 2010 games up nor any DDR S+ song pack info at all.

This site is getting lack of update on latest news and less activity involved. I suppose this might aswell go straight in the bin if they're not interested in this site anymore which they did anyway. Besides DDR:UK is now an event organization and an official DDR facebook and twitter page an official community for DDR fans so that's been refreshing.

The forums were poorly designed and the site was just a disaster overall. There's no reason to think this site will suffer the same fate; if anything, DDROC failed because it couldn't compete with ziv and bms.

Yeah, remember that stuff like DDR:UK survived 8 years before crashlanding. And I suppose a good part of that is down to this site's success.

I thought it was mostly about that guy that supposedly knew everything there was to know about arcade pads.

Wasn't it the source for AC unlock codes? Where will Konami post them now, the Japanese DDR Staff blog..?

We're probably not getting any, knowing KoA/KoE.
Oh wait, the master unlock code will be released in 2013 as part of a BK DDR promotion.

Knowing KoJ, they won't let KoA not release unlock codes.
But if for some reason unlock codes aren't rolling out in a timely fashion, I'll let Round1 management know that traffic to their X2 will significantly decrease (as far as I can tell it's actually pretty low), and then hopefully Konami will obey Round1's request to turn over the codes to us

Possibly Facebook or any Konami-connected fan sites like BMS, ZIv, etc.?Idk, the site was good when it first started up and the times when DDR X US CS came out, but soon after that, the whole site just died down...
Sheesh, wouldn't be surprised if DDR in America gets axed this year or next year

Seems like a few of these sites are disappearing.

I wonder if it had anything to do with Agora games being purchased by MLG. I always thought something would happen to that site because that happened.
