Just read that update, and I think that might be a misinterpretation. Perhaps he merely meant that Guitar Hero was to planned to have a release this year, and it got canceled. Just kicking around ideas...

I agree, but I never really liked the game just the music. Isn't that what music game is about ENJOYMENT of the ROCK STAR.

Dj Hero 2 had some preety amazing features. It's sad to see they scraped the potential the series had.

I'm actually saddened by it because guitar hero has nostalgia for me, but at the same time this may mean we can get some aerosmith, metallica, van halen, and kiss (they didn't have a game but they got songs and dlc packs plus gene narirated the game and advertized it) in rock band now.
