Possibly pointless bump but I'm not entirely sure where else to post this since it doesn't warrant its own thread.
In the tradition of doing useless things nobody cares about on DDR games nobody has thought of in at least five years, I reactivated the DLC from DDR Universe 3 that was removed from the Microsoft Store back in the day. Since all of that data is stored on the disc, telling the game to show it to me wasn't exactly difficult, but I am not sure how to make all of the songs available simultaneously. In order to do this, as you may notice, I had to remove "A Dream" from the game.
I've been tinkering with modding the Xbox DDR games' memory in real time to perform futile tasks like unlocking all of the available content without playing Quest Mode or buying anything, and this was the first thing I did. I'm curious to see what else is possible, since I'm sitting on memory dumps for all of these games, in addition to their executables.
I understand that this DLC pack is total shit, but I wanted to see if the game would still let me play these songs. Now I'm onto figuring out how to just switch them on without having to replace in-game files.
I'll take my 50 internet lashings if this bump wasn't constructive.
Sorry for the subpar quality and bizarre aspect ratio. My capture card is ancient and I didn't feel like editing this at all.

The way the DLC packs are constructed allows anyone to just stuff a game add-on with references to the songs' 4-byte memory labels and unlock them. They're coded the same way for all three UNIVERSE games, so I have since reactivated all of the DLC for UNIVERSE and UNIVERSE 2. I could distribute them, but they'll only work for people with modified Xbox 360s. (I also don't know how legal that is, so I wouldn't share any links here).I'm in the process of archiving them, and have finished videos for UNIVERSE. I'll throw them in this post if you're interested in seeing how these songs are presented in their native title.

Shouldn’t you just be able to get the DLC files themselves and install them on a modded console and have the DLC available? I’ve done this with several delisted DLC and digital games on my OG Xbox and PS3. Like after my old ass OG Xbox died I got another one and modded it and put all the Ultramix song packs I used to have on there, and then since it’s modded of course I went ape shit with all kinds of stuff I never bought either but the point is it was as simple as installing the DLC no modding to the game needed. On PS3 it’s more of the same like I have delisted stuff like Scott Pilgrim, X-Men Arcade, and Simpsons Arcade on there, I just installed the pkg files.
Unless of course the issue is that the DLC files weren’t preserved so you can’t find them to install, like no one seems to have preserved the PS3 DDR DLC. I would do it but I have no idea how to extract the files from my PS3.

Yes, but I've searched high and low for complete DLC downloads for the UNIVERSE games and all I have found are nine DLC songs for UNIVERSE (for some reason White Hot was just not included) and the ten-song DLC pack from UNIVERSE 3. The most popular A-Z Xbox 360 file dump (as well as all of its mirrors) has incomplete DLC listings for these two games, and nothing at all for UNIVERSE 2.Unless of course the issue is that the DLC files weren’t preserved so you can’t find them to install, like no one seems to have preserved the PS3 DDR DLC. I would do it but I have no idea how to extract the files from my PS3.
The issue is that the DLC files weren't preserved and I had to make my own.
If I incorrectly read your question and you're just asking whether I could simply upload the DLC files I made and unlock these songs for any console capable of running homebrew, yeah, totally. If I made this sound like a mysterious and inscrutable process I assure you that it isn't. If any of you has a console or emulator capable of running unverified DLC I would be completely down to distribute these packs somewhere that isn't this website.

Oh you were right the first time. Yeah it sucks when shit isn’t preserved. I have the Universe DLC but without a modded console sadly I can’t help on that front. I should look into how to preserve PS3 DLC though since I know DDR PS3 DLC isn’t anywhere which is why I bought it when Sony announced (and backtracked) on closing the PS3 store. Maybe I’ll look into buying a modded 360. Since they require physical mods and soldering it’s just out of my capabilities but at least we could get the full 10 song pack preserved.

Can we clear the fog and just tell everyone how to activate Auto on the retail games? Hi1auz or whoever he/she is had it enabled on his earlier and frankly crappy looking Supernova vids and he seemed to get it running on DDR II (Valkyrie Dimension vid). Is it even real or is it a load of E.T. Rocky Mountain Oysters?

Didn't mean to actually ask for results, but thanks a lot for the codes. The comments did say that it was only for the Japanese versions, I didn't expect it to mean that there are codes for the Japanese versions only (so far).
Here's to hoping that the crawlers index this page so that it can be preserved for posterity.

Here I was almost thinking there would be a cheatcode for it instead of it just being GameShark-esque stuff. More's the pity.

Only now did I notice that RЁVOLUTIΦN's GITADORA video was oddly zoomed in when it crossed over to DDR from 2013 to the recent version. It's noticeable at the start when the "RЁVOLUTIΦN" text is fully visible in the original video but not even seen in the DDR version. If it's not for censorship reasons, I wonder what the cause is because I can't recall any other video that was this cropped for DDR.

They probably noticed the RЁVOLUTIΦN text would be obscured by the score counter and the song card and cropped it accordingly. If the video wasn't covered by other objects in DDR (a la DDR Extreme), I think it wouldn't have been changed.

Even weirder, the text does show up again a few seconds later, and this time the crop just makes the DDR version look noticeably bad.

Slight bump: So I did some lurking regarding my last post on RЁVOLUTIΦN's old GFDM video. This is the best video I could find in its old format.
Looking at that video size, I can probably see why DDR's upscaled video looks the way it is there. Guess I answered my question.
Also, from my post in the last page, almost 4 months ago:

I believe that the Konsento:01 is the first character to go through a design change. I know that there's Charmy whose 3rdMIX model went through changes regarding her legs between the Asian and Japanese versions, but Konsento:01 came before her, debuting in the first DDR game with dominantly black arms with hints of red and pink that would later become red and pink stripes in his appearances after 3rdMIX, probably inspired by his 2ndMIX equivalent that had green and red stripes.
FINALLY someone posted an arcade video of 1stMIX that showed Konsento:01, at the first half of the video. Whaddaya know, GhostSpirit? You WERE right that was a texturing error in the console release. It's like the design team realized their mistake in CS 1st and 2ndReMIX and patched it up come DDR 3rdMIX.Post #2460 · Posted at 2021-08-01 10:02:54am 2.7 years ago
