DDR Characters. Do U like them?

Hi.
I'm sure that more fo one have preferences with a DDR character or more than one. Lots fo them have diferents outfits. I really like: Rage and Emi, they are mi fav characters from all the DDR series.

Which DDR character(s) do you like?

if its an arcade version and i have to have a character, i go with emi or one of the zukins.

i personally prefer to turn off the dancers, i guess i just got used to not having that distraction ever sense max took them away.

I didn't really like them until SuperNOVA when they gave them a new look. That being said, I'd still rather have more songs without them.

I like what they did with the characters- except for Rage and Jenny.
A wanna be ghetto and a Where's Waldo? fan; what was up with that?
And I'm not liking what they're doing to Yuni; she looks mainstream and anorexic.

To me, leaving characters out of DDR leaves a hole in the game, the same way as leaving out GOLI in beatmania and solid snake in metal gear solid.

My favorite has always been rage, I just like the standard down to earth look of him.

Ive NEVER been distracted by the chracters, there always in the centre of the screen, I just dont like scrolling backgrounds or coloured backgrounds that hide the arrows and its a good thing they have left them out, they made the game look quite...generic and primitive.

yeah, except for the part about leaving out backgrounds that hide the arrows. ever turn on the "note" notes? you better pray that you dont get one of the red or blue backgrounds, or you wont see your arrows.

QFT, F~elm~ ES is almost impossible to do with the blue background.

That's how I am. The dancers don't distract me because they're in the way per se, but the problem is that the dances they do are so stupid looking, I can't help but stare at that instead of concentrating on hitting the notes.

And I never had a problem not being able to see notes on certain backgrounds so I couldn't comment on that.

The new SN2 Yuni! The 5th and 4thMIX characters rock too.

In a video I saw, they showed "Alice" back, but with a Native American feather on her ear. They were doing NGO on Challenge at the 2nd test location.

Girls: Emi and Yuni, especialy for SuperNOVA. Also like Alice, which I know a good 5th Mix machine in Cali.

As for the guys... I always pick either Naoki or NMR @ the 5th Machine. That is all.

(And there are more for DDR PC, which later become StepMania characters. Liked Mimi, but her character is so screwed, i'm afried to use her. She's like a Halloween Emi to me.)

What? I love Jenny. I use Jenny exclusively when I play SN. She knows how to shake her money maker. And I like the new Yuni too, but that's probably because of Tran being on her shirt.
Pre-Nova I prefer using Alice and Akira. There's just something about a guy in a suit like that that screams don't fuck with me.

Looking back at the characters, I want Charmy and Astro to make an appearance. They look like they came from outer space and if done right, can go with the SuperNova theme.
