Hey everyone! I am sure everyone is rampantly hunting the trophies for the new DDR for PS3 like I am and I wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to do it. So I decided that a good way to do this is by opening up a new topic exclusively for discussing finding the trophies for DDR for PS3. I will keep a list of each trophy along with a paragraph describing anything I know to get one's hands on them. Please keep this topic to discussing anything with having to find the trophies for DDR for PS3 and any thing else about this game in the main DDR for PS3 topic.
With that said here are the trophies!
Get all the trophies! - Platinum
Get everyone of the trophies
Welcome to DDR! - Bronze
Try the lessons in HOW TO PLAY.
Playing any one lesson will clear this trophy. You do not even have to pass the lesson.
Playing the Real Thing - Bronze
Complete all of the lessons in HOW TO PLAY.
Obviously described. It would appear that this trophy will require the use of the PlayStation MOVE in order to complete the last three lessons, however it is rumored the diagonal directions on the pad serve as a substitute for MOVE & STEP modes.
High Scorer - Bronze
Get a score of 1,500,000 or higher.
This score can be slightly tricky, but still easy to get if you can play on EXPERT. Pick any face paced song and focus on getting every chain arrow set every time and activate groove trigger at least 5 times. to guarantee your score at least 1.5 Million.
First AAA - Bronze
Get a rank of A
Try to get a full combo of at least no more than 15 greats to a song with about 300 to 400 steps overall. That should bring the score close enough. Remember that grade has no effect when using Chain and Groove Trigger so if it helps avoid using Groove Trigger.
First AA - Bronze
Get a rank of AA
This will probably come naturally to any traditional DDR player. Typically an average full great combo will get it.
First A - Bronze
Get a rank of A
Harder songs may force this grade on you, otherwise try breaking the combo occasionally.
First B - Bronze
Get a rank of B
Try breaking the combo at least every 10 steps to bank this trophy on a song on BEGINNER.
First C - Bronze
Get a rank of C
Try breaking the combo at least every 3 steps to bank this trophy on a song on BEGINNER.
Give it all you got! - Bronze
Get a rank of D
Fail any song. Simple as that.
FULL COMBO (BEGINNER) - Bronze
Pull off a FULL COMBO with difficulty set to BEGINNER
Easy enough.
FULL COMBO (BASIC) - Bronze
Pull off a FULL COMBO with difficulty set to BASIC
Easy enough.
FULL COMBO (DIFFICULT) - Bronze
Pull off a FULL COMBO with difficulty set to DIFFICULT
Easy enough.
FULL COMBO (EXPERT) - Bronze
Pull off a FULL COMBO with difficulty set to EXPERT
Easy enough.
FULL COMBO (CHALLENGE) - Hidden Bronze
Pull off a FULL COMBO with difficulty set to CHALLENGE
This is tougher obviously because of the use of 8 panels. I strongly recommend using only the dance pad for this. Or if you rather play the song Tsugaru (Apple Mix) as it seems that is actually the original Challenge chart from DDRMAX2, meaning no diagonal arrows.
FIRST GREAT FULL COMBO! - Bronze
Pull off a GREAT FULL COMBO!
You will probably get this while going for AAA score. This can be done on any difficulty too.
FIRST PERFECT FULL COMBO! - Bronze
Pull off a PERFECT FULL COMBO!
This one will be challenge. I recommend doing a song on BEGINNER that you are comfortable with until you get it. Avoid using Groove Trigger.
REVERSE DANCER - Bronze
With the difficulty set at EXPERT or higher, play a song with scroll set at REVERSE.
As described. Anyone who can enjoy arcade versions' Extra Stage should have little trouble with this.
DARK DANCER - Bronze
With the difficulty set at EXPERT or higher, play a song with DARK turned on.
As described. Try using a song with a fast paced and loud beat to track the rhythm.
SUDDEN DANCER - Bronze
With the difficulty set at DIFFICULT or higher, play a song with appearance set at SUDDEN.
This can be tricky unless you reduce your Speed modifer. It seems that Sudden is very tight from the appearance point to the step zone.
HIDDEN DANCER - Bronze
With the difficulty set at DIFFICULT or higher, play a song with appearance set at HIDDEN.
This is not so hard considering the disappearance point is almost right at the step zone it seems. Just increase your speed modifier to compensate.
ULTIMATE DANCER - Hidden Silver
With the difficulty set at DIFFICULT or higher, play a song with appearance set at STEALTH.
Best idea is to set up two player and mimic off the other player working in normal conditions to cheat off this trophy
CHAIN CHAIN CHAIN - Bronze
Rack up 3 CHAIN ARROW BONUSES in the course of a single song.
This will probably happen if you play any song at EXPERT and get a FULL COMBO.
TRIGGER 5 - Bronze
Launch GROOVE TRIGGER 5 times in the course of a single song on EXPERT or higher.
Easier to do with the DualShock controller than the dance pad for me.
CHALLENGER - Hidden Bronze
Unlock the CHALLENGE difficulty level on every song in FREE PLAY MODE or MOVE & STEP (excluding downloaded songs).
It seems that not all songs have a CHALLENGE difficulty and that simply clearing a song on Expert is all that is necessary. A COLLECTOR - Bronze
Get 20 or more ranks of A or above in RECORDS for either FREE PLAY or MOVE & STEP.
Just play the game as best as you can and check in your Records section every now and then.
AA COLLECTOR - Bronze
Get 50 or more ranks of AA or above in RECORDS for either FREE PLAY or MOVE & STEP.
Just play the game as best as you can and check in your Records section every now and then.
AAA Collector - Hidden Silver
Get 100 or more ranks of AAA or above in RECORDS for either FREE PLAY or MOVE & STEP.
Just play the game as best as you can and check in your Records section every now and then. Remember that a AAA is not necessarily a Full Perfect Combo these days however a tight Full Great Combo is bound to score one.
STAR COLLECTOR - Gold
Get 100 or more FULL COMBO marks in RECORDS for either FREE PLAY or MOVE & STEP.
Remember that good full combos as count!
DANCE PARTY - Bronze
Have a Dance Off with 4 players!
You do not need four players just play by yourself over and over.
WHITE-HOT DANCE BATTLE - Bronze
Play 15 turns in a Dance Off
Once again you can do this by yourself, obviously do this on the DualShock sitting down because this is going to take time and the song gets harder as you get into it.
KEEPING THE RHYTHM - Bronze
Play TRAINING MODE with HAND CLAPS and METRONOME set to ON.
As described. Any difficulty and any song will suffice.
SILENT DANCER - Bronze
Play TRAINING MODE with MUSIC SPEED not set to 5.
Basically it means play a song at a slower music rate but the song cannot playback at a slower rate so you just get the notes.
BURNING 300 - Bronze
Burn 300 KCal in Workout Mode
Simple enough, Approximately 7 songs on Expert should clear this. Things to remember is that you either have to use the dance pad and/or PS Move in order to burn calories. PS Move barely does the work alone, so a dance pad is pretty well essential.
BURNING 1000 - Bronze
Burn 1000 KCal in Workout Mode
Just like above but more work involved. You can expect around 35 songs on expert is about average to get the target.
BURNING 5000 - Hidden Silver
Burn 5000 KCal in Workout Mode
This is a long way to go, about a weeks worth of dance gaming.
CLUB MASTER - Bronze
Attain the rank of CLUB MASTER in CLUB MODE.
For me it took a FULL GREAT COMBO on a 4 song run before I let my TRICK level maximums for my songs to get out of control to get this rank. I fear this trophy can become impossible to obtain if many of your songs start to reach level 2 or higher for their TRICK maximums. This trophy requires a similar performance to a AAA grade of a single song. It should be noted that it appears score has no direct effect, so avoid using Groove Trigger if it helps keeps you concentrated to a better performance.
SUPERSTAR - Bronze
Attain the rank of SUPERSTAR in CLUB MODE.
Pretty well clearing a 4 song go through will earn this rank.
LEAD DANCER - Bronze
Attain the rank of LEAD DANCER in CLUB MODE.
Try failing right at the end of the final song in a 4 song go through.
BACK DANCER - Bronze
Attain the rank of BACK DANCER in CLUB MODE.
Try failing right at the start of the final song in a 4 song go through.
NEWCOMER - Bronze
Attain the rank of NEWCOMER in CLUB MODE.
Try failing in the third song of a 4 song go through.
TRAINEE - Bronze
Attain the rank of TRAINEE in CLUB MODE.
Fail right away
1000 COMBO! - Bronze
Rack up 1,000 or more combos in CLUB MODE.
Easiest done in a 20 song run through before you let your Trick Level Maximums get out of hand.
BILLIONAIRE! - Silver
Score 1,000,000,000 points or more in CLUB MODE
Easiest done in a 20 song run through before you let your Trick Level Maximums get out of hand.
DANCE MASTER - Bronze
Clear CLUB MODE with song count set to 20.
As described.
TRICK MASTER - Hidden Silver
Fill each Song Status bar in Club Mode to their maximums. (Except Downloaded Songs)
To do this you must repeat playing other club mode, over and over again. Again to appears that using Groove Trigger has no direct effect to increasing the rate of filling the song status bars, so just focus on getting the steps right than just a high score. In addition, if you want this trophy fast, avoid purchasing downloadable songs until this trophy is earned as the downloadable songs will only hinder the appearance of songs you will need to work on. This will take a lot of time and game play, and it is better done using the DualShock or a Cobalt Flux. Pack toilet paper and water.
SONG COLLECTOR - Hidden Gold
Unlock all of the hidden songs
The fast way to do this is by setting Club Mode to 20 songs and playing this mode over and over until you get it.
NEW STYLE DDR - Bronze
Play MOVE & STEP
There is no get around. You have to have a Move controller in order to do this. It seems that playing one song in this mode will trigger this trophy.
Create Spectacular Videos! - Bronze
Control the MOVE & STEP screen in VJ mode
As described
Enjoy MOVE & STEP with 2 Players! - Bronze
Two Players can enjoy MOVE & STEP!
Simple enough, if it didn't require two Move controllers and a second dance pad!! Seriously get a friend who also has a move to help participate. You might be able to cheat off the second dance pad for a dual shock but this is uncertain, and even then that would require the participation of a third player to hold that controller. Ha ha! I suspect that this trophy requires at least one song to be completed with 2 players using Move & Step.
MOVE MASTER - Silver
Get at least one record in MOVE & STEP for every song (expect downloadable songs)
First off it is obvious that this will require all songs to be unlocked for the game so be sure to play Club Mode until you max out your dance skill rating. That should unlock all disc-based songs. Then once that is done take the time to play each song at least on one difficulty in MOVE & STEP mode to obtain this trophy.

About Handling Club Mode
Finding the songs you need:
In Club Mode it seems the average speed determines the song list each time you play Club Mode, meaning songs like NY Evolved will appear later and most likely in a 20 song list. This makes finding such songs harder because one has to play usually to the end of a 20 song set list just to have a 1 out of 3 chance of evening finding said song. Now slower songs frequently appear in the early part of a song list so one can just set it to as low as Four and fail out the game as soon as one finds the song(s) he or she needs.
As for the Tricks here is what I have figured out first off the list of tricks and what each do:
LEVEL 1
Speed: 1.5x
Arrow: Note
Boost: On
Increase Difficulty: Basic, Difficult, Expert
LEVEL 2
Speed: 2x
Arrow: Flat
Shift: Type A (This means one of the four arrows will drop down one whole quarter beat length below the standard position of the target bar)
Oni Meter: 8 points (Your health bar turns into an Oni Hit Point Meter (just like Challenge mode in arcade versions) and breaking the combo loses a point. Losing all points on the meter ends the round automatically.)
Increase Difficulty: Basic, Difficult, Expert
LEVEL 3
Speed: 2.5x
Appearance: Sudden
Dark: On
Shift: Type B (This means two of the four arrows [standing next to each other] will drop down one whole quarter beat length below the standard position of the target bar)

Increase Difficulty: Basic, Difficult, Expert, Challenge
*There may be other Level 6 tricks but I have not seen evidence of them yet.
TRICK CANCELLATIONS
Certain tricks will automatically disable other tricks. Any of these tricks will cancel any other trick in this list when the new trick activates. However these tricks do not necessarily cancel out any trick not on this list. Also Increase Difficulty will cancel out any of these tricks.
Speed, Boost, Appearance, Dark, Shift, Flip
You can keep dangerous tricks under control by simply forcing your difficulty down by playing badly. This is best done by good attacking a segement of a song, which will often remove all tricks currently applied and reduce the difficulty by the next Trick Turn,. There are 4 Trick Turns in a song. You know a trick turn starts when the little blue dots on the side of the lanes reach the top of their meter. A trick turn will either activate a new trick, remove tricks, decrease difficulty, or do nothing at all depending on your performance.
Please feel free to provide any details to obtaining any trophy and what any Hidden trophy I do not know yet are.

TRICK MASTER - Hidden Silver
Fill each Song Status bar in Club Mode to their maximums. (Except Downloaded Songs)
To do this you must repeat playing other club mode, over and over again. Again to appears that using Groove Trigger has no direct effect to increasing the rate of filling the song status bars, so just focus on getting the steps right than just a high score. In addition, if you want this trophy fast, avoid purchasing downloadable songs until this trophy is earned as the downloadable songs will only hinder the appearance of songs you will need to work on. This will take a lot of time and game play, and it is better done using the DualShock or a Cobalt Flux. Pack toilet paper and water.
SONG COLLECTOR - Hidden Gold
Unlock all of the hidden songs
The fast way to do this is by setting Club Mode to 20 songs and playing this mode over and over until you get it.
NEW STYLE DDR - Bronze
Play MOVE & STEP
There is no get around. You have to have a Move controller in order to do this. It seems that playing one song in this mode will trigger this trophy.

Two Players can enjoy MOVE & STEP!
Simple enough, if it didn't require two Move controllers and a second dance pad!! Seriously get a friend who also has a move to help participate. You might be able to cheat off the second dance pad for a dual shock but this is uncertain, and even then that would require the participation of a third player to hold that controller. Ha ha! I suspect that this trophy requires at least one song to be completed with 2 players using Move & Step.
MOVE MASTER - Silver
Get at least one record in MOVE & STEP for every song (expect downloadable songs)
First off it is obvious that this will require all songs to be unlocked for the game so be sure to play Club Mode until you max out your dance skill rating. That should unlock all disc-based songs. Then once that is done take the time to play each song at least on one difficulty in MOVE & STEP mode to obtain this trophy.

About Handling Club Mode
Finding the songs you need:
In Club Mode it seems the average speed determines the song list each time you play Club Mode, meaning songs like NY Evolved will appear later and most likely in a 20 song list. This makes finding such songs harder because one has to play usually to the end of a 20 song set list just to have a 1 out of 3 chance of evening finding said song. Now slower songs frequently appear in the early part of a song list so one can just set it to as low as Four and fail out the game as soon as one finds the song(s) he or she needs.
As for the Tricks here is what I have figured out first off the list of tricks and what each do:
LEVEL 1
Speed: 1.5x
Arrow: Note
Boost: On
Increase Difficulty: Basic, Difficult, Expert
LEVEL 2
Speed: 2x
Arrow: Flat
Shift: Type A (This means one of the four arrows will drop down one whole quarter beat length below the standard position of the target bar)
Oni Meter: 8 points (Your health bar turns into an Oni Hit Point Meter (just like Challenge mode in arcade versions) and breaking the combo loses a point. Losing all points on the meter ends the round automatically.)
Increase Difficulty: Basic, Difficult, Expert
LEVEL 3
Speed: 2.5x
Appearance: Sudden
Dark: On
Shift: Type B (This means two of the four arrows [standing next to each other] will drop down one whole quarter beat length below the standard position of the target bar)

Flip: Mixed (This means all arrows will randomly change position on the track, for example Down Up Right Left)
Increase Difficulty: Basic, Difficult, Expert, Challenge
*There may be other Level 6 tricks but I have not seen evidence of them yet.
TRICK CANCELLATIONS
Certain tricks will automatically disable other tricks. Any of these tricks will cancel any other trick in this list when the new trick activates. However these tricks do not necessarily cancel out any trick not on this list. Also Increase Difficulty will cancel out any of these tricks.
Speed, Boost, Appearance, Dark, Shift, Flip
You can keep dangerous tricks under control by simply forcing your difficulty down by playing badly. This is best done by good attacking a segement of a song, which will often remove all tricks currently applied and reduce the difficulty by the next Trick Turn,. There are 4 Trick Turns in a song. You know a trick turn starts when the little blue dots on the side of the lanes reach the top of their meter. A trick turn will either activate a new trick, remove tricks, decrease difficulty, or do nothing at all depending on your performance.

I can confirm that the hidden trophy you think is "FULL COMBO (CHALLENGE)" is. It's bronze.

Unfortunately I can confirm that the MOVE is required for the MOVE related trophies. Which means one can look at an additional $140 on top of the game and first dance pad to have the materials required to Platinum this trophy. Gag. By the ways items in red are items that need assistance in terms of information.

Good stuff finalbass. My friend said he got a gold from unlocking all the songs. However I haven't done it yet so I don't know where it goes or its name/description. I should get it pretty soon.

For "FULL COMBO (CHALLENGE)" it can be easily done on Tsugaru (apple mix) since there's no diagnal arrows.

Thanks azn punk. I believe doing every song on expert unlocks the challenge version so ill work on that.

I can confirm AAA Collector as a trophy. Just earned it. Its a Silver Trophy. Get 100 or more AAA's in Free mode or Move and Step. I'm trying for the others, tried the workout mode trick by moving it up a month and nothing. I've only burned 2000 calories or so, I'll try to reach 5000 and see if that works.

I will be working on some ideas to discover these later today. Hopefully I will be successful.

Do you already have one Move controller? If not, you'll need two, as I've tried and found out. :x
Also, regarding the Club Master Trophy, I got it tonight with a couple combo breaks on a 4-song course. However, the game never brought me back down a difficulty and I was using Groove Trigger at pretty much every chance I was given.

I have played all day in club mode, about 14 hours and I have one song finally at max status. That did nothing trophy wise so then I played in my own club all 50 songs, no trophy for that either. Only thing I haven't done is get all step info for 3 songs, almost have all the other status bars filled for all 50 songs. Sitting there doing that is very tedious. I can't tell you how many songs I played.
Any other suggestions besides filling all of the status bars? That would take awhile.

I have attempted a 4 song set with Reverse turned on but had no effect. I also let my personal club run lose on its own for 115 songs and also had no effect. I have updated that hidden trophy with things I have seen tried but not work so this way no one goes in the wrong direction hopefully. By the ways is there a trick level that activates Challenge difficulty?
