Your DDR Simfiles/Edits to put on our machine!

So basically what I am doing is adding more content to our DDR EXTREME machine now since were stuck on EXTREME for a little while. While I have added a majority of the X-Specials and Groove Radar Specials I am still looking for more. I want stepmania/in the groove edits of songs that are already on DDR EXTREME that I can make edit files out of and put on our machine. Can you guys give me a hand....?

What I am looking for...
-Songs that were on 1st~EXTREME Mix CS that are available for play on DDR EXTREME (until I get a Dex Drive or something).
-Songs have to be Konami's DDR cut and length
-Songs have to be challenging (like in the groove expert charts hard! I want some to be like ITG 13's or 14's!)
-Charts need to be high quality

What you get out of it...
-If its a great chart/edit it will be added onto our DDR machine at NIU!
-You get your username as the edit name and get credit on the machine
-People play your edits on our machine!

Do the edits _have_ to be 13/14's? Honestly, a lot of songs simply can't be made into something over a 10 rhythmically.

On Extreme one can only really make decent 12/13 charts out of songs like CSFILSM, LOM, B4U (B4 ZA Beat Mix) or Nori Nori Nori.

I made a bunch of 10'/11' some were good some other were for training.
I made two 12'. One was still in my heart full stream, but i don't consider this as an edit :

I already posted it several months ago but the video have a description now, lol.
This other was a low 12, Destiny Lovers. Some part might seems overstepped some other aren't at all and it's cool.
The only problem with this is that i have to play it on x3 (170bpm)... and on extreme it's damn fast.

I deleted (from online, i still have it on my computer) my LimitedRevolution charts for DDRExtreme because it was confusing with the one i'm making for X. I will re-upload some of them that i like and might upload all of them even that i just found "ok".
So you can try it on PC and see how it goes.

I think DXY and Nori Nori Nori are my 2 favorite

I've got a few 7th mix edits I've played on DDR if you want those, though I'd have to transfer the charts to SM. (If you acquire 7th mix jp somehow)

I have an 11 to waka laka, a 9/10 to Cutie chaser (morning mix), a 10 to Ecstasy oni, and a 10/11 to Living in America. (all of these are ITG scale)

Also, it's not a good idea to just have a name for an edit. You should include the foot rating in the name (that's what I do) so people will know how hard it is since there's no groove radar or anything.

The problem is KoL's charts use mines/12th/24th/hands ect... you don't have acess to this on old ddr mixes.
Most of my edits would have been differents if i could.
Also, you have some freezes limitation sometimes on the PS1/PS2 games. I had to corect some of my edits even if i was carefull with the "4th/8th/16th only" rules.

That's why i have a folder with my edits (including ddr edits) and a different one who are edit "for the arcade".

Btw Kon, maybe you know it already but... you can use PS2 mixes too for the edit.
I had Extreme PS2 for exemple. I did Destiny Lovers on it, then you have an options to make a save file for a PS1 memory card.
To finish you transfert the edit at the PS1 format from your PS2 memory card to your PS1 memory card.

@NIQ9 : Yeah but you can't save the edit in the machine so you'll have to use your memory card to load them.
So if you do this, you'll mostly play your edits so you will know what difficulty is it.
Unless you share your memory card but you can still explain what kind of difficulty is each song.

But on some point, you have right. An edit name with this format "yy xxxxx" could be nice 2.
yy = difficulty // xx = name. The 8 caracters limitation is painfull

I Guess my DXY chart would have the name "11 PANS1" (if i want my nick in the file name + a random number to recognise this one) or "11 DXYZ!" (the real name that i found. But find a name with 5 caracters only will be a pain in the ass).

I just finished the upload of most of them.
Missing are : 321 Stars (i will change some jump part, they were too hard), Broken my Heart (because it's the same kind as Still in my Heart).

Go in the 4Extreme folder to get the edis for extreme.

You have a short description of them.
Difficulty, how the chart is and which game i used to do the edit.
When you are doing a new edit, i sugest to do the edit on PC first then "translate" on the ddr game after.
Assit-tick/rate mods/other can really help on computer.


DXY - 11 (low)
More the chart goes, more it become hard. It's one of my favorite chart that i made.
Some crossovers near the end. Last part (stream) have crossovers too.
Done with 5th mix CS jap PS1.

Nori Nori Nori - 11 (low)
A bit overstepped but really fun. Some little streams at 160bpm and triplet.
I played this one a lot
Almost no crossovers except for few moves at the beginning.
Done with 5th mix CS jap PS1.

Think Ya Better D - 10 (mid)
A made this chart for a friend a long time ago. I follow the music and the lyrics.
Could be a bit confusing at first but it's not bad i think. I have fun playing this one.
Some crossovers. One is possible but really hard (some afronova walks in 16th).
Done with Extreme CS jap PS2.

Mr.T (take me higher) - 9 (mid)
I made this one for a friend too. He requested a lot of drills, so i did.
That's a good warmup i guess, i had fun with him on this one.
Some crossovers.
Done with 5th mix CS jap PS1.

Still in my heart - 12 (mid)
I don't really consider this one as an real edit because it's only full of streams.
But i didn't did it in 20min either because i tried to put different kind of streams.
I used short parts of streams from other itg songs (custom and official) and custom streams by myself.
In order :
- Operation Evolution
- Delirium
- Chromatic Blitz
- Fer Sure
The edit have 900 arrows.
No crossovers at all, stream only. Few drills at the middle of the song, it goes with the voice :p
Done with 5th mix CS jap PS1.

Destiny lovers - 12 (low)
Some part are overstepped some other not.
The song as song really good rythms so i used them.
I also made some paterns that i had trouble with (triplet part alla PSMO/Legend : repetition of the same feet placement).
Almost 0 crossovers, the only one is at the beginning on a easy part.
Done with Extreme CS jap PS2.

PS : I used Zenius a lot to see what are the song present on the games. I'm pretty sure you can use 6th and 7th mix too (PS2 ones) like i did with Extreme.

I added a few to the machine. Nice Destiny Lovers chart PanStyle! It was hard as shit dood! I full combo'd it with 20 greats Freaking fun as hell to play!

I will post likely post videos of them. I couldn't today because the table next to the machine RANDOMLY disappeared today! Seriously no one knew where it was!

That's not my favorite edit for Extreme but you're looking for very hard stuff... so you might enjoy less Nori Nori Nori or DXY.

I go everyday because it on campus at my college, and its me and a friends machine so I play for free. I just bought a Drummania machine and am putting it down next to the DDR machine too. Its not like I play all day either... Its a good workout, a good stress reliever and its fun to play. I usually play for a couple hours on weekdays. On weekends I usually dont play at all.

ALSO I NEED MORE EDITS GUYS! COME ON!

EDIT2 : Lol you made healing Vision but it's the only one that i forgot the description xD.
So like you saw, it's a 11.
There is some fun parts :
The long part using only 3 arrows with crossovers.
The drills/rush near the end, damn fast.
Most of the song follow the battery rythm which is basicaly the same for a while.
Some crossovers are not so easy because of the speed and the triplets but it's "doable".
