I think others would agree with me when I say it gets annoying always having to change games just to play a few different songs. Is it even remotely possible of putting a few PS2 DDR's on one disc so that all the songs are present? Like combining let's say, MAX and MAX 2?
I don't even mean having it as one game, but having the option of choosing which game on the DVD you'd want to play?

Best call would be Get Extreme CS JP because it has every damn song you ever wanted and then some,
or get Stepmania and get them that way.

i'm fairly certain you can do something like this with the PS2 HDD and some bootloader crap, but not on a CD. i know with modding you can store games on the HDD and load them up like you're talking about, but AFAIK no one has found a way to do it with CDs.

Best you can hope for is the DLC for the upcoming PS3 version, but you'd have to buy songs you already own on other games.
What you're looking for isn't possible.

It's possible, just not applicable unless he's worked for a gaming company or has experience in this subject, which he obviously has not.
He's basically asking us how to make a DDR game for the PS2........
He should just stick to stepmania, though.

Just to put it out there, there may be a possibility of Stepmania being more inconvienient.
For me, the only place I can play Stepmania on the pad is in a room with four computers and barely enough space for 2 players playing Wii Boxing, and I definitely can't play doubles. But I can take the PS2 to the basement where there's a lot more space and play doubles there and people can still pass by.

I always wished I could combine MegaMix and Fever into one game. They might actually be playable for more than 10 minutes then...

pretty much this is the only option to do it...
Plus a DVD can only hold 4.7GB of data unless you'll do it on a dual layer DVD.

actually, you dont know what we're talking about. the subject is putting both games on a disc and picking which one to load, not making his own DDR game.
seriously, just because no one else knows how doesnt mean capcom didnt put HSF2 and SF3 on the same disc with a menu to pick which game to play. its entirely possible, just no one in the hacking/modding community knows how without the HDD.

This doesn't really matter too much for DDR games, as they're only a little over 1GB.Post #14 · Posted at 2010-10-03 08:59:45pm 14.7 years ago

I think SuperNOVA2 or 1 has just about every song.
absolutely not. if youre getting one mix with a huge song list worth playing, extreme is the clear choicePost #16 · Posted at 2010-10-03 11:06:21pm 14.7 years ago

Total song count is 111(Counting MAX.(Period), the only DDR song in history to never make it to an AC DDR)

I heard that you can mod arcade machines, to have more music though. I just heard that SuperNOVA was one of the largest DDR games, unless X2 has more music.

AFAIK, for official software, the only arcade machines that you can mod are ITG and ITG2.
