Whilst making my first (major) simfile.. I came across a problem. After the song and chart ends, Stepmania continues to go on for a few seconds (silence and no arrows). How can I fix this?

SM automatically goes on for 4 bars/1 measure (that's kind of confusing...)
If it goes on longer than that, then press the Home key on your keyboard, then space, then End, then space.
If it goes on longer than that, then press the Home key on your keyboard, then space, then End, then space.

If it's only that simfile, some chart in it goes on as long as you're waiting, so check all the charts.

hooky - I mean in the game itself. (When you choose a song and play it)
It continues to go on for a few measures.
EDIT: Meseki - Each of the charts ends at measure 68, and it continues to go on after.

Be sure to check for Couple charts, most people forget about them and a rogue Couple chart can have this effect.

Try deleting your sm.old and dwi.old files in your simfile folder.

Arctic Wolves - No couples charts.
Pie-kun - I deleted them, and they it still has the same effect as before.

Manually check the .sm file and see if there's any unintended difficulties, then reload the song from disk in the editor (or you could reload everything).
