Console Crossover Challenge #8 (07/12/2010)

RULES RECAP:

Post a picture or a playthrough video (including results) of songs featured in the challenges. Any mode/difficulty/modifiers are cool, but it must be played on an official DDR product (console, arcade, etc.), not StepMania. You may also play an offical chart not featured on a particular title as an edit or alternative mode (like Extreme USA's mission mode steps), but it must be accompanied by a video, illustrating the correct stepchart.

OKs and Marvelous steps are counted as Perfects; songs are judged by Perfects + Greats. You might also post a total for each challenge, which is used in the event of a tie. Highest score per song takes that song, most songs wins that challenge. If you win the Global Challenge, you are then allowed to select a DDR game to be featured in the next challenge. Tied PFC scores will be ranked by who gets it first.

If you've paid attention to the Global Challenge list, you'll notice there's A FREAKING INSANELY LARGE LIST. Far more that I would elect to use in a single challenge! Therefore, this challenge will begin this upcoming Friday - and between now and then, I will allow any/every potential challenger to KILL ANY TWO SONGS FROM IT, either until there's only 20 or fewer left, or Friday rolls around. There are 40 songs on it; so up to half the list (10 posters) can be killed between now and then.

Hardcore Championship Rules

Basically, score the most AAA's that you can, regardless of mods or difficulty. You'll score:

1 point
3 points
4 points
5 points
5 points

for each AAA earned. Most points wins. Rock to it!

WARNING: This should only be attempted by those with a high degree of anger management. This is likely to not occur too often, because this kind of playstyle generally results in a LOT of FRUSTRATION. Mix selection of the next challenge still goes by the standard rules/Global Challenge.

I like the rules variation, but really should we get five points for AAAing those shock arrow charts? Just to clarify, when you say AAA, do you mean new AAAs or PFCs?

I guess I'll accept SDx's, and rank by fewer greats. That way they aren't a complete waste. How's that?

I sure hope that means SuperNOVA 2 AAAs. I've only gotten a PFC on Heavy once.
