PIU Simulation

What's the best simulator for writing Pump It Up charts? Is there a specific Stepmania build or theme or a good separate simulator I can use?

I haven't tried writing steps for 5-/10-panel yet and I want to start off on the right foot, so to speak. I'm looking for opinions, not Google search results

More detail. If you have any PIU noteskins (if not, get them), select PIU from the Select Game menu. This screen's not available on most themes as far as I know, but you can get to it in the default theme from the title screen. That's all you need to get started.

Nowadays this is the best PIU simulator. Just download it, create a folder called "songs", put all of them there and just start play.

There's also a PIU dedicated Stepmania build, called Pumpmania. If you search for it, it's fairly easy to find. Try the Stepmania forums.
