Okay, so this has sort of been bothering me for a while. There are many songs that have certain foot ratings (either old or new version) that just don't seem like they should be that specific rating, maybe higher or lower.

A big example is Petit Love from DDR 4th Mix Plus. This is a 7-footer, but it's really hard for a 7-footer. Some of the streams can get fairly complicated, and it's not exactly a slow song either. It should have been an eight-footer, in my opinion, maybe an 11 on the new scale.

If you're wondering, there's a video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TTIfnPyjbI

Another great example is Witch Doctor from DDRMAX. Should be a 9, but it's an 8. Same with Waka Laka.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NW-_-DEXQ_Q and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnucSEw6sds.

What songs do you think have terrible ratings?

A lot of things on Supernova2 are underrated, specifically Paranoia Hades on Trick mode. It's rated an 8 and I can't pass the thing.

Also, Let the beat hit 'em! (Classic R&B Style) on DDRX2 for PS2 seems to be rated way higher than it should be.

Lately I'm imagining if Healing Vision ~Angelic Mix~, So Deep ~Perfect Sphere Remix~, and Arrabbiata were 10 on Heavy. And I think there's some more.

Personally I never really found So Deep or HVAM to be 10s, but there you go.

Anyway, Akiba Drift from Universe 2. Rating it a 6 was a cruel, cruel joke.

I disagree with Healing Vision ~Angelic Mix~ and So Deep ~Perfect Sphere Remix~.
Maybe Arrabbiate should be a low 10 yes (because there is so much DUMP parts).

I remember Mind Parasite was a 6' on SN. This killed some player who plays only 6/7 feets cause the chart is a 8 Big Grin
(I heard about a fix where the son is re-rated as a 8, but we didn't got that in France).

There is so many weird foot rating, especially in double. Sometime a 7' will almost rape you when you can clear 9.5 feets :s

Imo the 1-18(1-20) scale was almost a good idea.
They should had keep the original scale rating but fix some stuffs.

Be more accurate, like using at least a .5 for exemple. I use that when i'm talking about a DDR/ITG/CUSTOM/ECT song or sometimes the terms low/mid/high.
Also, keep the old scale but break the 10' limit. PSMO a 11.5 or maybe a low12. It's beetween Mythologie and Bloodrush for me.

And yeah at Paranois HadesHeavy on SN2 rated as a 9 O_o
Fortunatly, they rated this 15 on X. So it's at least a 10.

EDIT : I forgot an other exemple : SUNKiSS♥DROPHeavy rated as a 7 on SN2. This should be a 8 ^^'

Also a slightly less-remembered example, Ultramix 3's Hot On The Phone Standard. No fucking way's that a 4.

- Drop Out Heavy when it was an 8. Yeah, streams that only 10 bpm slower than Paranoia Survivor totally count as an 8. At least from MAX2 onward it has an accurate foot rating.

- Maxx Unlimited Standard. It's just as difficult as most 9's, but it was only rated an 8. I don't see the logic behind that.

- Like PanStyle mentioned, Mind Parasite Heavy on SN1. For whatever reason, the foot rating and groove radar were the exact same ones used for the song Monkey Punk.

- Gradiustic Cyber Heavy on MAX1 US. It has trills that are just as fast as Max 300 and lots of jumps, but it was only rated an 8. lol wut

- DXY Heavy. I actually think it's more difficult than stoic, which is a 9.

I could spend hours mentioning stuff from SN2 alone.

Also DDR X has a lot of messed up 12's and 13's.

Programming error, which (IIRC) was corrected with the patch that enabled FELM and Flow (true style)

Max 300, Max Unlimited and The Legend of Max Heavy are all 15 footers, but I believe they one is harder than the other. Plus, comparing Max 300 Heavy and PARONOiA Hades Heavy, I believe maaaaaaybe Hades should be a 16.

4th Mix (and by extension, KONAMIX) had a scale of 1-9, so I think the 8 seemed fitting (and a high 8 at that). Once the scale expanded to 10, DROP OUT went up to a 9.

And, yes, I do know DROP OUT debuted in the SOLO games (forget exactly which)

Agreed. Looks more like a mid-range 5 to me.

Okay, this is where it's getting opinionated, but I will gladly leave yours be. On the other hand, Doki Doki (Panic Mix). Light1, Standard4, and Heavy7 I think not.

It's a typo in the sim. The actual difficulties are 4/7/8.

DanceDance Revolution SOLO 2000. Which, for the record, had a rating scale of 1-8.

GdCy, ok.

DXY, no.
It should remain an 8.

Thanks for clearing that up. I remembered that every game in the main series prior to 4th Mix had the 1-8 rating scale...

It's a 9 in MAX US.

EDIT: OH SHIT, it does say 8...it was revised in EX AC (released AFTER MAX US) to be a 9.

Your memory is faulty Tongue

3rdMIX had a few 9s (e.g. Afronova, Dynamite Rave, Captain Jack, etc. etc.).

DYNAMITE RAVE was an 8 in some mix, IIRC... I totally can't remember, but I swear it was an 8 at some point, in one of 3rdMIX's incarnations/spinoffs.
